Petechiae rash on lower legs due to ibrutinib?
I have been on 420 mg of
ibrutinib
for five weeks now and have slowly been weaned off prednisone (now down to 5 mg). This is may second bout with CLL and anemia in two years and thus the reason my Hematologist put me on
ibrutinib
. As soon as the doc put me on ibrut.

He has Mantel Cell Lymphoma and has been on

Mushrooms
My husband has recently started taking
ibrutinib
and so far so good, so I certainly wouldn’t want him to start taking anything that may interfere with treatment, but just asking out of curiosity really. I wish we had maybe tried it when he was on active monitoring. Thanks all!!

Newly diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia or Small Lymphocytic Lymphoma - CLL/SLL or just found us? This post is for you!
People have been doing well on maintenance
Ibrutinib
for nearly 10 years and on a second generation version Acalabrutinib for over 6 years. Newer, non-chemo limited treatments are providing long remissions after just over a year of treatment.

Anniversary
Today is my one year anniversary on
Ibrutinib
. I had a little bumpy start but overall I have done very well. My blood work is close to normal. My hemoglobin is still messing with me a little. The most important factor is that the fatigue is gone.

Article in NEJM on ibrutinib and Venetoclax
Morning everyone. Thanks for all the great information and posts. Thought you may be interested in an article published today in the NEJM (New England Journal of Medicine). Basically it say much the same as what many of you are already reporting nothing really new. https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056

Any other members put on a lower dose of Ibrutinib after some extreme side effects?
To have one round of chemotherapy and continue with
Ibrutinib
140mg three times a week. 2.Start back on
Ibrutinib
140mg three times a week. I picked plan 2. Slow and easy.If I'm truly allergic to the drug I feel that I'll know.I believe this drug could work for me. Thanks for letting me rant.

Move over MRD Negative and make way for uMRD - Undetectable Minimal Residual Disease
Dr Koffman covered in his panel address how U-MRD in the CLL world has gone from being valuable with FCR to being immaterial with
Ibrutinib
, where U-MRD was rarely reached, to being important again with the short term, non-chemo treatments currently being trialled.

After one year on Ibrutinib, BEST NEWS EVER!!
He has been on
Ibrutinib
for a year now, and after a CT scan last week and lab work today, his doctor said he was in REMISSION!! All labs were in the normal range, and his lymph nodes in his neck, stomach and lower abdomen had returned to a normal size.

Ibrutinib / Venetoclax journey
So, a quick update from me. Went for a checkup yesterday (Friday). Consultant pleased with status, Lymphocytes have reached the lofty heights of 1.1. The reading has moved around the 0.7-1.0 since start of treatment. This was only a ‘normal’ checkup. Back in July for my checkup in the research dept

Cells dying in the retina
(
ibrutinib
) I hope this is correct, this text, cuz I have to hold a lighted magnifying glass over the letters to see. That’s how bad it’s gotten over 2 months😔. Thank you If the
Ibrutinib
keeps me stable , what other drug would maybe do the same?
