Looking for others who have had a hysterectomy with ovaries removed in their 30s - to get your experiences
Hi all, I'm looking for personal experiences of those who had a
hysterectomy
with ovaries removed in their 30s. Little about me and why I'm asking. I have been diagnosed with adenomyosis and endometriosis.

After over 30 years of pain and extreme bloating over the last two years, I’ve sadly no other option than to have a
hysterectomy
, I’ve been told. I’ve only ever had two laparoscopies in 2012.

hi, I have endometriosis and Adenomyosis and had a total
hysterectomy
about 8 weeks ago. The surgery was quite complicated and took a long time due to the amount of scar tissue that had to be removed.

what would you do?
I had to have a full
hysterectomy
in 2019. I feel post menopausal now and different. I’m now medication free as I have been waiting many weeks for the next treatment to arrive, now it has (olumiant).

I am due a
hysterectomy
but have been told by consultant that 20% chance it won’t help with the pain, that the endometriosis on bowel will likely remain and there are other risks generally with the surgery.

Hysterectomy at 40 no endometriosis
I had my
hysterectomy
2 days ago and although I am in pain I'm feeling relieved 😌. My consultant has told me he has found no signs of endometriosis and that my uterus was severely scarred from my 3 c-sections and my coil that had been embedded in my uterus.

Full
hysterectomy
on October 5th 2021 and found it was stage 1 ovarian cancer and had 6 cycles of carboplatum. I am so so grateful and lucky to be out the other side. Oncologist says there's very very low risk of it ever coming back.

Awful day
She tells me we can do it if you’re not bleeding heavily but why bother ( I’m having a total
hysterectomy
in October) putting yourself through it. Me being sensible/stubborn took the tablets and headed off to appointment. Nurse was fantastic she listened while I explained my situation.

low grade serous ovarian cancer
hello I’m new to the group but I was diagnosed with low grade ovarian cancer in October 2020 and have since had a radical
hysterectomy
in December 2020 followed by 6 rounds of chemo starting in June 2021 which didn’t remove all the cancer I was given a course of letrozole but this didn’t work for me.

I have had a
hysterectomy
in my forties for heavy periods and severe dysmenorrhoea. Later, in my fifties had laparotomy for suspected of ovarian cancer. Now there lies one huge problem! Years later a caring GP when I complained of abdo pain said let's test you for coeliac.

LGSOC located in pleura
My ovaries were removed as part of a
hysterectomy
in 2008 hence the migration to the pleura. Debulking was to take place but surgeon said there was too much cancer. I have had chemo for secondaries. So it's incurable. Sometimes I am okay with this.
