Itchy eyes - Like a Gritty Toad
I've tried viscotears,
hypromellose
and just rubbing 'Don't keep rubbing your eyes, dear!' and so far just rubbing has proved to be by far the best. So there. Once you have no Thyroid tissue at all, you're open to many or all of the odd conditions around - thyroid orbitopathy, anyone?

Has anyone else got Secondary Sjogren's Syndrome?
I use Beconase, Glandosane, and
Hypromellose
, but some days I can hardly keep my eyes open, they ache so much. They also get sore from putting so many eye drops in! Kath

Formaldehyde Allergy
I am also a diagnosed Coeliac and found the same symptoms appear from Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose HPMC in the Gluten Free diet and
Hypromellose
in prescribed medications. I suffer Anaphylaxis and Urticaria with this and need to take up to 6 Piriton daily for up to 12 days.

Can anyone help?
I know that other coeliacs might not have these problems but the two are very restricting. 3.0 Appointments now at St Thomas' Cutaneous Clinic next month, to get to the bottom of allergic reactions after 7 long years. 4.0 I have also found symptoms are consistent with an ingredient called

Why do you have to be on the FODMAP diet for 6-8 weeks?
Hello, despite fantastic advice from people I am struggling big time on this FODMAP diet. It is now Day 8 and I have now discovered I am unable to eat eggs (at least I think it is egg yolks). I can't eat anything containing hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (ie the bread products), gluten, bacon or cheese

Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose
Just back from one of the big four UK supermarkets, I went looking for some foods without any derivatives but found that most foods had a similar ingredient, "Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose". Does anyone have problems with this?
