Reply to issues with Spleen
Hi, I agree with most of these comments on here that the enlargement of your spleen is an indication perhaps that you are ready for some form of treatment, not removal. I had chemotherapy in 2020 and my spleen was massive. After a treatment cycle of FCR for 6 months and neutropenia sepsis for 10

Taking hours to fall asleep
Gabapentin has controlled my RLS for last year or so. I only take 600 mg at bedtime for last 3/4 months now. I have recently started having difficulty falling asleep (no RLS, just wide awake for 3/4 hours). I thought about asking for a sleep aid from GP but didn't want to take anything that would aggrevate

I have recently been prescribed the above medication to reduce my ocular pressure due to complications during cataract surgery. My muscles have ached so much that I am glad to say I will be taking my last tablet in an hour. It did say in the patient leaflet that this could happen but fortunately none

3 weeks and counting!
Morning everyone. š Hoping you are all keeping safe and well as spring is on its way! š 3 weeks since cataract surgery, all seems to be going well and all much clearer. I was not impressed with actual operation BUT end result good and having other eye done March 15th. A week later started Clarithromycin

pregabalin and iron
Hello, I have tried googling if there is any interaction between pregabalin and iron but canāt find anything. I take an iron tablet due to low iron (morning and it has not helped) but will switch to iron bisglycinate at night after reading posts here. I stop eating at 6:30pm so I can take my pregabalin

Vitamin/mineral deficiencies
Hi. I've had Pbc for 6 yrs now. Recently I've noticed that I am more fatigued than normal. I asked for my blood results over the last 10 yrs . I noticed a progressive decline in my ferritin levels over the last few yes. I had a vitamin b12 level done recently and it was just above the borderline/normal

Liver detox after chemo?
I am starting Taxotere next week and received some advice from a friend fighting serious colon cancer. He told me how he detoxed his liver after each cycle. He used TUDCA Bile salts and PectaSol from ECONugenics Company. https://econugenics.com/collections/pectasol?Wickedsource=Microsoft&Wickedid

Update 7.7.5 = Benign
Thanks to all who responded to my last post. The news on the growth removed from my face was good news. It was benign, a Seborrheic Keratosis that suddenly had become inflamed. Due to the coloration, it looked a possible malignant growth, which is why I had it checked out. I would encourage everyone

thrush in mouth
I have had antibiotics lately and have thrush in my mouth. I have been prescribed Nystan to take 4 times a day. The nurse /practioner said also rinse my mouth after using my steroid inhaler. The problem is do I rinse and spit or rinse and swallow? Swallowing is so much easier

My IBS Team Sheet ā 2. Haemorrhoids (How I manage)
I think that having experienced having Haemorrhoids about six years ago that led me to be diagnosed with IBS, the relationship between IBS and Haemorrhoids could be a bit of a Red Herring! To be fair, I have experienced having haemorrhoids once since my first diagnosis, but now that I exercise regular

Best genetic mutation test?
My husbandās RO ordered the Invitae genetic saliva test, and weāve received results showing he does not have genetic mutations on the genes they tested (84 genes I think). The problem is I donāt see some important mutations on their test, such as CDK12 or others. What is the ābestā or most comprehensive

Buprenorphine and Nausea
Basically I successfully use buprenorphine (0.4mg/da) to block RLS but the resultant nausea is a serious well known side affect. I have been well guided by many on this site as to how to combat the nausea and have tried many of the suggested solutions except for me the last resort medical cannabis.
