Blood test
Had both Covid and flu jabs yesterday. Lipase blood test due today. I've been searching to see if it's wise. Leave it 48 hours is all I can see after a long search. Any advice if you've been in that position. I didn't do my weekly Benipali jab yesterday . My RA is in remission but sadly attacked my Pancreas

Tooth extraction after receiving Zometa?
Has anyone had a tooth extraction after receiving a Zometa infusion? My tooth extraction is scheduled for 9/18 but it’s not related to my metastatic breast cancer or any drugs I have received. It’s due to internal resorption and is being removed 8 weeks after my first Zometa infusion. My oncologist thinks

Radiation
I had the standard IMRT for my pca back in 2013. I was told it was a lifetime dose. Is that true with the newer forms of radiation treatment? I am faced with starting a six dose regimen of taxotere now since ADT does not seem to be working according to PSMA scans. My psa remains at 1.8 even though the

Olmesartan (Omesar) and NSAIDs
My doctor has put me on Olmesartan 10mg in addition to the Amlopidine 5gm I'm already on. To further lower my BP from 150. The patient leaflet says not to use NSAIDs with the Olmesartan. The doctor is away til Monday,so I'm asking the community if they have any experience of this. I use naproxen

hi there Very low. My midway scans are showing my lymph nodes that grew after my huge debulking surgery in March have not shrunk with the chemotherapy and I have some nodules on peritoneum ( nothing in any organs) So he can’t say that the chemo hasn’t worked in other type cancer but it’s not doing

Any correlation between antipsychotic discontinuation and b12 absorption or deficiency?
Hi, has anyone ever had experience of b12 deficiency symptoms after antipsychotic withdrawal/discontinuation, & more specifically Aripiprazole (Abilify)? I am still awaiting b12 deficiency test results, but I wonder if discontinuation has resulted b12 deficiency symptoms & creating a false normal?

Am I going insane?
Hmm so I’m just wondering, do those of you with PA that self inject regularly still suffer extreme fatigue and body aches and pains or other symptoms? I have celiac disease and that’s in remission thanks to a gluten free diet and I self inject fortnightly. I follow a good gut health diet but was told

Thyroid cancer
I have a close friend who’s just been diagnosed with thyroid cancer so is waiting for surgery. She has been told this is not the worst cancer to get and it will not kill her. So she is trying to be upbeat about it. Can you live normally without a thyroid please? I’d really like to give her some optimistic

ctDNA - signatera
has anyone had the signatera bloodwork test? It is somewhat new science and compares a current blood draw to original tumor biopsy tissue. It then look for a match and works to to detect circulating tumor dna (ctDNA) in blood. It assigns a numbers as to how much ctDNA is found. My Mets are bone only

Going in for a radical Cystectomy, stopping Biologic.
Hello lovely people. My first six monthly Cystoscopy after getting the all clear from bladder cancer in January showed that the cancer was back with a vengeance. So on Monday I'll be undergoing a Radical Cystectomy. I'm OK and positive with the outlook of living without a bladder and lots of other bits
