Hi all, hope blue Monday isn’t too blue! I’m currently waiting for 2nd biopsy results from the Tommy’s clinic in Warwick to know what treatment they might recommend for my “robost womb” (charming!) to then be ready to go go go! I have logged into my Gaia account today to check that’s all ready and

Been on the IC since April 24h….bit fed up now!
Hi, I completed C25K a few years ago, and run regularly. I started having pain in both feet earlier this year, which felt like Plantar Fasciitis, which I had had very successful surgery for over 20 years ago! ( I must have been REALLY lucky with the results, as it’s hardly done now, as it’s not thought

Just caught the proverbial flu , unfortunately not able to find a suitable medication to help with symptoms due to side effects unsuitable for the medication I'm presently taking IE Valsarten for bp, beta blockers for AF and coagulants (apixaban). Please someone reassure me that this is another IBS flare up
Last year I went through a bad phase with my bowels, had numerous doctor visits and blood/stool tests. The doctor said IBS again due to negative results and also based on my previous history of negative tests along with normal sigmoidoscopy. I've been having sporadic bad IBS flares which appear different

advice on sulfasalazine and the sun
I have been told by my rheumatologist nurse that I need to start taking sulfasalazine for my reactive arthritis, as I had a steroid injection after taking steroids orally, but it’s still not keeping the joint stiffness at bay completely . I’m not happy as I was under the impression that reactive arthritis

IVF in Spain for male factor
Hi All,I've decided to go to Spain for ICSI IVF mainly because we want to try fresh surgically retrieved sperm (through sync egg retrieval and TESA/PESA) and our local clinic doesn't offer this option, only freezing sperm in advance. - My son gets married on 20th Oct...just 4wks away. - My flu jab has been booked for several weeks now and is for the 26th Sept. - I'd planned to have my covid booster after the wedding just in case I experienced any adverse effects. However, I'm aware that incidences of a new strain of covid are

Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT) For PD And Much Much More
While many of us are aware of the potential that FMT has shown for PD, Clostridium difficile (C. diff) and IBS that has not responded to standard therapy, I wrote this to highlight the fact that FMT has shown the potential to also help a multitude of other diseases and health issues that are often seen

shingles vax
I’ve tapered down to 5mg of prednisone over the last 8 months and so far my PMR is at acceptably low levels. I’ve been offered the shingles vaccine and wondering whether to have it. What is your advice?

CRP 220
Currently in hospital with Pneumonia. My CRP was 180 on Saturday and went up to 220 on Monday. Medics are going to do a procalcitonin blood test which I've never heard of. Could one of you very clever forum members enlighten me

Prostap injections and bleeding
hello everyone, I’m having a bit of a tough time at the moment, I started prostap injections last year in may without HRT until December, and up until present day having the injection every three months with my daily tibilone tablet. The thing is when I started everything was fine no pain, no bleeding

First 5 Tibetan Rites (7x) since Covid
First little exercise workout on my journey to return from latest Covid setback, and it feels great. I got surprisingly pretty sweaty quickly, just with these 5 minutes, but I felt strong. So aerobic fitness has suffered a bit the last week whilst in bed, but muscle strength and flexibility is all

Shaking Body & Cold Clammy Hands
Hi all Fortunately my AF episodes are few & far between 🤞, therefore I just take Flecainide as PIP when it kicks off, which it did at 1am this morning. I got up to go to the loo & when I got back to bed I couldn’t stop shaking, I was so cold, then the AF started. My question is does anyone suffer

Low AMH downhearted 4th round
Hi, I have had 3 rounds of IVF in the past 20months and am now 35yrs of age. One resulted in a missed miscarriage at 7weeks and the other two I had nothing to transfer as we have also undergone genetic testing due to an issue on my side. We've been very fortunate in that these cycles were NHS funded

Cold symptoms with suppressants
Just trying to figure out how my system is different with the immune suppressants. I recently had a cold but it never got really bad but it is also lasting a long-time. I know someone who had a blood infection and her immune system didn't kick in until it was very severe. She was on immune suppressants
