Urticaria caused by changes of temperature ( hot and cold heat)
Hi, I suffer from chronic
hives
that some times ends up in some form of anaphalex Shock although not been treated for it. I was prescribed Cetirizine which has kept it under control for the last 15 years. My question to everyone, is it safe to use this drug for so many years?

Montelukast side effects
However, I’ve had 3 bouts of upper respiratory infection and 3 lots of
hives
. I joined a Facebook group for Montelukast side effects which freaked me out, so I tried reducing by cutting pill in half....already symptoms have returned. 😢 I’d be grateful for adults responses re this medication.

TSH high T4 normal
I also have autoimmune
hives
whilst all this was going on. It then took nearly a year for my TSH to drop and finally was given thyroxine.

CT Scan with Iodine Contrast
However, a) I have had an allergic reaction to the contrast in the past (
hives
). The doctor has prescribed desamethasone (a steroid) for 8 hours and 4 hours before the infusion, and diphenhydramine HCl (Benedryl) 1 hour before. That should take care of the allergic reaction.

Flogging a dead horse... when will they admit defeat?
Sat/Sun I also had hayfever issues causing my lips to swell and then giving me
hives
(solved with additional antihistamines).

Cost of Jakafi
I went to my doctor yesterday and since I’ve had
hives
and burning of the skin feeling hot he is going to try to switch me to Jakafi. The cost is unbelievable and the main assistance program out there said if you’re on Medicare you’re not eligible.

Advice**
I come out in
hives
all over my body on the contraceptive pill. The mini pill failed. I had majorly bad implications on the injections and the implant to the stage I was put on medication to force my periods to end, causing me more pain to the stage I could not walk.
