Hysterectomy update
Hi, so I had my hysterectomy on Monday. It went well though when they opened me up they found things were worse than expected. The cyst had grown from 6cm in December to 12cm. The surgeon showed me photos afterwards, I couldn't believe how big it was. I don't understand how I could have had something

Help with latest results please
These are my latest thyroid results. I’m still struggling with hypo type symptoms but no medic will diagnose me. My latest cortisol blood test was good and I’ve managed to raise my oestradiol level by using hrt so I doubt it’s menopause that’s the culprit as all medics suggest. I’ve tried 25 and 50 levo

How to get from 1mg to 0 pred
I was diagnosed with PMR in Oct 20 on 15mg and in April 21 told it was highly unlikely I ever had PMR and just needed to now getting off steroids . At that point I was on 9mg and got down to 3 mg pretty easily by Sept ish using DSNS . Below that has been hard but now finally trying to get from 1mg

How long does tocilizumab stay in your system
I was due a
hip
replacement
on the 23rd July so stoped the toci 2 weeks before. The op got cancelled 3 days before because my iron was low but that righted itself quickly and I was given a new date of 21st August.

Anyone concieved whilst taking hrt
Hi lovely ladies. I just wanted some help. I'm 44 and menopausal but strangely I have zero symptoms of menopause apart from absent periods. I have started taking hrt oestrogen gel and Utrogestan progesterone which to induce a monthly bleed. Is there a chance I can still concieve?

Back in January I had blood tests done by medichecks. It has taken this long to get an appointment to discuss the results - these being the most pertinent: Vit D 47.5 nmol/L (range 50-200) TSH 2.5 mU/L (range 0.27 - 4.2) Free T3 3.43 pmol/L (range 3.1 -6.8) Free Thyroxine 13.8 pmol/L (12 -22) Today

Severe knee arthritis
Hi everyone. I have bone on bone compartmental arthritis in both knees and have been told I need total knee replacements. I’m keen to avoid surgery if possible so am researching other ideas. Has anyone tried red light therapy and if so does it provide any pain relief or regeneration of cartilage etc.

Post-menopause bleeding aged 51. Help. 😞
Can anyone relate please? I’ve had endometriosis all my life, and it’s been excruciating and debilitating and basically ruined my world. I’m 51 now and actually went out to celebrate being officially menopausal as my periods disappeared TOTALLY for 13 months. I’ve recently had a bout of gastro upset

13 months free then bleeding aged 51. Help?
Hello, anyone else around my age (51) experienced 13 months totally period free, zilch, nada, nothing, tampons thrown out, rejoicing etc. I know this makes me officially menopausal, but then I started bleeding? It’s only a little, but I also have slight period pain. I’m going to get this checked out

Side effects of monthly prostap
Hi there, Not sure if anyone has has similar experiences at all but I've had monthly prostap jabs for maybe 8 or 9 months now for endometriosis. Good news, no pain. Bad news, everything else. I've always been very sensitive to hormone treatments and anything related so I was quite glad to be having

Anyone had a surgeon who operates on a 'Frozen Pelvis' for a second time?
Hi everyone, It's a long story, but does anyone have experience of surgery on a Frozen Pelvis for a second time? I had stage 4 endometriosis with severe bowel adhesions 13 years ago (age 36). I had full hysterectomy and both ovaries removed. My bowel had to be dissected due to the adhesions and I was

Surgery and hypo
I’m going to need a
hip
replacement
in the coming months. It’s fairly major surgery at any rate but as I have complicating factors (childhood dysplasia) it’ll be a wee bit more major. Anyway, it’s worrying me.

Toe Surgery
Hi just wondering if anyone has had forefoot arthroplasty or now called Stainsbie procedure. I saw my foot surgeon yesterday and that is what he recommended for my twisted toes. I didn’t like the fact that you end up with floppy toes! How does that feel and does it affect your walking??in good walking

Change of HRT due to shortages
Hi, I've recently had to change from using 2 pumps of oestrogel gel to 1 spray of lenzetto because the pharmacy couldn't source any oestrogel. Is this the right amount as am not sleeping so well and am getting very hot at night? Should I increase the number of sprays? Thanks

Knee replacement in March
I am due to have a TKR on my right leg on 17th March and was hoping you lovely folk might help me get prepared. Given the huge waiting lists on NHS we are using a chunk of our savings to get it done at our local Nuffield hospital, but they don't link with occupational therapy so I have no idea what
