CORONA VIRUS / COVID-19/SARS COV-2 And Some Potential Help
This seems like a good time to start a thread discussing the latest developments regarding SARS COV-2 / Corona Virus(CV-19). Given that it seems to move quickly to new areas that were previously unaffected, being as prepared as is reasonably possible seems to make sense, but is there really a good way

Just an update following my original post regarding a study that i was invited to take part in. I had my first fibroscan a few days ago and apparently i dont have any fibrosis which means i am not eligible for the study. I was pleased that my NASH had not progressed but disappointed that i cant be involved

Post-circ: tips on scar healing
No pic today, sorry. The ring under my glans (the scar) has become tight in the last few weeks, and I’ve still got odd bits of puffy skin around it. Doctor has given me steroid cream to use once a day, what other tips do people have? I’ve just got myself some bio oil to use (does that help with the

Angular Cheilitis

COVID-19---US White House to meet 03/02/2020 in afternoon with Major US Drug Company CEOs re: Vaccine development
Supposedly, the US WH will meet with CEOs of the 8 major US drug companies to explore exactly where they are (as well as the future) in developing a vaccine which would stop the spread of COVID-19 ASAP. My guess is that we are probably 1-2 years away from a truly “novel, unique” vaccine for COVDI

Possible causes of Ataxia
🙂 This is a ‘long read’ and may be difficult to interpret, but never the less it’s interesting. What processes can cause ataxia? The pathophysiology of cerebellar ataxias is as diverse as the various neurological and systemic diseases affecting the cerebellum. Broadly classifying ataxias into genetic

Mixed diagnosis, right upper quadrant pain and normal lfts
Hi there I’m looking for some advice. I have had transient liver enzymes since jan 2019 and peaking at 200 alt only. Usually static at 80 -alt. Numerous blood results are not showing a spike to suggest auto immune hoverer ana has been positive. All scans have been normal and biopsy showed that possible

Azathioprine and Mesalazine
The saga continues... I started taking azathioprine a week ago despite speaking to a pharmacist that my mesalazine was mentioned in the aza leaflet. He told me not to worry. It was fine. Today I was picking up my repeat prescriptions and saw that my more regular pharmacist was in and So I decided

Anyone had a liver from a donor with hepatitis C?
My partner has been asked if he would be willing to take one. The hep C if it does come across with the transplant can be cured with a tablet course 99 percent o& the time, says our leaflet. Anyone with any experience of this? Thanks Sophie
