V&D after feeding sheep at petting farm - worried about baby.
I have been complete idiot. I went to the petting farm with our toddler yesterday and fed the sheep out of my hand. I washed them well afterwards but have woken up today and have bad sickness and diarrhoea. I’m hoping it’s just a coincidence but the midwife said I have to go in when I’m well and have

My latest blood tests have just come back. I’d be grateful for comments from the amazing admins please. At the moment I’m not feeling great, my last tests about 8 months ago showed my B12 to be low so I started taking a liquid B12 supplement sublingually. I’m not taking any iron supplements. I take vit

MPN Voice App for monitoring symptoms
I have recently started to use the app,! I have to say how easy it is to use. Recording symptoms is so quick and handy and I even added my own. I added all my recent blood tests easily too. I think it will help us patients all provide a good record of how we are feeling to our medical teams and help

Does Besremi cause high blood sugar?
I started Besremi two weeks ago. My first dose was 100 mcg. I am supposed to take my second dose today, and increase it to 150mcg. The thing is, I had a BMB this week, since my MPN specialist wanted to have a baseline, and prior to the biopsy had some blood tests at the hospital. I got some of the results

Rheumatologist appointment
After seeing the doctor today for the first visit, I would like to get the thoughts of some of the knowledgeable people on this forum. He didn’t rule out PMR, because of the blood test I had in January. At that time, I was on the Pred. He did blood work and is testing for several other possibilities

Ocaliva and side effects
Hello everyone! I recently started taking ocaliva. I don't know if they help, I'm due to go and have some blood tests done. Pros...the sharp pain I used to occasionally have in the liver area is gone. Cons. The itchy skin drives me insane, can't sleep, I'm always tired and to add insult to injury some

Basal cortisol test
I am currently on 1mg Prednisolone and have been for the past 12 weeks. I have always reduced this drug very slowly on the recommendation of this extremely helpful forum and have never experienced a flare. My routine yearly blood tests are now due at my GP surgery and I have been in touch with one

Neuropathy
I am experiencing neuropathy in feet and hands. I have Hashimotos and was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2009 but my diabetes is controlled through diet and my blood tests have been within normal range for several years. I understand neuropathy can be a symptom of the hypothyroidism and wondered if

Cortisol test before or after Prednisolone
Been taking Prednisolone for 18months or so and am currently working my way down from 3mg to 2mg . So far apart from a couple of mini flea . I am doing OK. Recently went to see my GP to arrange the usually CRP and EST blood tests and she thought I should do a morning Cortisol test. I was however puzzled

Sorry it has been a while with an update on Ruxolitinib
The last time I wrote to you all was about 2/3 years ago when I started Ruxolitinib. The first 6 to 8 months I was a different person, I felt great. I started to swim, (200 lengths in 1.5 hours) then I started to get water infections, one after the other, chest infections, ear infections and shingles

Has anyone tried Inclisiran in place of Statins
My doctor is keen to reduce my cholesterol as it is 7.3 and I can't/wont take statins. I also have problems with palpitations so can't even raise my levo. I am a bit worried I am developing a heart condition too. I am just waiting for a blood test and xray before I go back to the doc who has suggested

ToeNail fungus treatment and Methotrexate
I’ve recently been recommended Curanail by my footcare practitioner for a toe nail fungus condition. I wondered if any one has used this while taking weekly methotrexate, and sometimes Naproxen. My blood test results are all fine and RA is well controlled atm. Looking at the instructions it can take

Nervous wreck
Hi Everyone, I’m a 33 female, I recently had a CA 125 blood test completed and the result was 42, I had just come off my period the time of the test. I’m due to have a CT scan on Wednesday and a repeat of the bloodwork on Thursday. I was constipated for a few days when I saw my doctor but that has subsided

Does this look like lupus rash?
Hi everyone. I started with a flat purple rash last Tuesday. It’s spread across my stomach and down the front of my thighs. Then a more sporadic raised rash started on shoulders, back, and then my hands and arms on Friday evening. The first marks on upper body looked like I’d scratched the skin. Yesterday

OHSS after egg collection, had to wait till July/Aug for FET . Stressed up!
Hi , cut the story short. It's our third cycle of ICSI. I knew something was not quite right this round of ICSI as very bloated and very tired. I had been going in clinic every day since Day 10 of stimulation injection for blood tests and ultrasounds . 20 eggs were collected but only two made to fair

Electrolyte advice please.
l have paroxysmal AF and recently been getting more episodes. I recently had a blood test, via my GP, to determine the function of my heart. I had my results come through, to my NHS app., late on 24th May, the start of the bank holiday weekend, so have been unable to speak to anyone at my surgery.
