Update on anti-virals
Like many here I was sent a pcr test to use if I got Covid because I could be eligible for anti-virals. My pcr test was positive on Saturday ( having tested positive on Friday with a lft) and I got lots of texts about what would happen next, mostly promising that I would have NHS contact within 24 hours

Alternatives to the pill for managing pcos?
Up until now I’ve just been
eating
healthy
, exercising regularly and taking inositol. My bmi is normal so I don’t need to lose any weight. Is there anything else I can do to or ask for to kick start my period? I’m not looking to conceive right now but I don’t want to go back on the pill.

Hi, After a private hearing test I was told to give results to GP as left ear is noticeably worse than my right. I've had slightly worse hearing in my left ear for years maybe even 7 or 8 but it wasn't bad, just noticeably not as good so never really paid it any attention, I do very occasionally have

Can anyone tell me why private audiologist do not have the excellent testing equipment that the NHS use? What is the point of buying expensive aids when the testing is inferior? Is it possible to obtain a copy of NHS test? Or does anyone know of private audiologist who uses the same equipment as NHS

A few good weeks…
I returned to my
healthy
eating
, having lapsed for a few months - ate cake and dairy (shouldn’t be a problem- you might think). Since I returned to my healthier diet the flares etc and even the migraines have abated. It’s definitely the Tocilizumab keeping me well, but a healthy diet helps me too.

Silvery sweat in hair
Hello all self-taught medical wunderkinds, Can you please tell me what the name of this phenomenon is, when sweat causes what looks like silvery dust in the hair / on skin? I’ve tried googling it - to find out how / why it arises - and all I get is advertisements for running clothes and information about

I understand moderation and

Help in the New Year?
Hi, my name is Melanie and I'm new here. I was just wondering if anyone had any advice on eating disorders and getting help for them. I've had one since I was maybe seven or eight years old, but I didn't know it until it worsened around August this last year. I realized I've had this 13 years... it's

British consumers have fuelled healthy eating failure Cambridge University study finds.
I've looked for scientific studies and found a lot of conjecture about junk food and obesity and thought that this study by Cambridge Uni was fascinating because it states the obvious that we the consumer bought into the whole

Does yeast infection diet really work, or it is a loss of time? (vaginal)
Recurrent vaginal yeast infection, Yeast infection diet. I am interested in personal experiences with this diet. I am kind of desperate. It's been almost 8 months of treatment and although there is an improvement with boric acid, it is not totally cured. I also use organic propolis, C vitamin, omega

Managing Your Condition
I was extremely happy as you can imagine, and it reassured me that for now at least, my continued efforts, which include,
eating

healthy
low carb diet, engaging in gentle daily exercise routines and understanding what 'mindful' tapering looks like, have all contributed to this small triumph.

Carrot and lentil soup spicy soup
Hi everyone, This is what I made for tonight as carrots are in season and I fancied a nice hearty soup. I cooked some baby carrots with a diced onion at the same time I cooked some red lentils and a little quinoa and then when it was all cooked I let it cool before blending it and adding cayenne pepper

Another Pee-Pee Post
My apology to you 'gentlemen' & 'tough-guys' who are probably tired of reading my repetitious posts regarding incontinence and restroom stories; however, if this helps even one comrade, it was worth my time writing! I have been reading numerous posts about frequent, nightly restroom trips, and I'm wondering
