How Can This Be ?
Hello my friends. I have been on this "super healthy diet" for 2 years now. Completely changed ALL my eating habits to everything I was told to do. No Cheating at all. I go to have a full blood work checkup. I knew ALL my numbers just had to be great. But I was shocked !* It's like a bad dream. This

What should I do next ?
- My
HDL
cholesterol
is above range, always has been. My GP is very concerned about this, not sure why. I always thought
HDL
was good
cholesterol
, and the bad/good cholesterol ratio seems fine. Is this related to hypothyroidism ?

I'm looking for advice for a doc appointment first thing on Tuesday.
Triglycerides and
HDL
but none of the other
cholesterol
results. Based on these their doc says everything is 'normal' (despite the T4 being higher than last time when he said I was 'overmedicated' due to low TSH, but we don't listen to that). So in total they did 11 out of 21 possible tests.

Reduction of blood tests due to shortage of tubes
Yesterday I read in the BBC news that a women had been refused her thyroid bloods test along with a cholesterol test due to shortages in England and Wales of blood test tubes. Has anyone been refused recently. I also read the situation will get worse and will continue for months, which is very concerning

Lay off the Atorvo, mate!
I am prescribed 40mg Atorvastatin daily, to combat my cholesterol level, and I'm all right with it. I have read that porage oats have the effect of "soaking-up" cholesterol: if that is so, can I take a bowl of porage oats, with water and a little milk only, and miss out the Atorvastatin, at least some

Cholesterol test
I am to have my blood check up and have been told I don’t have to starve regarding my cholesterol test. Is this something new or has somebody made a mistake ?

Update and advice please - new blood results
So I started levothyroxine about 4 months ago. A couple of months at 25mg. Then onto 50mg. At the time my vit D was low at 22. And my cholesterol high at 8.1mmol and my triglycerides at 6.45. My endo put me on fenofibrate to bring the triglycerides down. My latest results attached. Please note,

Is there a link between low HDL cholesterol and low vitamin D?
Hello everyone, I recently had some blood test done (quite a few!) and the most of the results were fine but my HDL and 25-hyroxyl vitamin D were low. I've been supplementing with Vitamin D3&K2 for almost a year, and after initially rising from 8 to around 40, it hasn't improved. I still have fatigue

Should I take BP meds?
I do have high
cholesterol
, as well, although
hdl
(the good
cholesterol
) and triglycerides are excellent and my cholesterol ratios are excellent. Doc also wants me on statins. I'd love to have some sort of test to see if my circulatory system was OK....
