Ablation outcome
So I haven't been on for a while or updated on the outcome of my ablation that I had at the end of August. I stayed in and out of NSR for about 2 weeks before settling in to a symptomless permanent AFib. The only problem was I felt breathless on climbing hills or running. A 24 hour ECG showed my average

question about hypothermia?
a couple weeks back, I visited my Kaiser infusion lab …. Lupron implant and Zometa pain train infusion. While there the intake nurse was alarmed with my 95.2 body temp. It’s been running between 95.2 and 95.7 lately. She told me to go to the E.R. , immediately, if it dropped to 95 or less. They were

Hi, new here and feeling completely overwhelmed.
I am 45 years old, and found myself off to A&E this morning with what was the 10th night in a row of adrenaline surges that prevented me from getting to sleep (feels like something startles me then there's the flood and whoosh of the adrenaline) slight breathlessness, a peculiar feeling at the site of

Ongoing breathlessness and exhaustion
I am really hoping someone may have experienced the same symptoms as me and managed to get a diagnosis. Upper right lobectomy in June last year. Initially did very well and was approaching a good level of fitness. Since October/November I have experienced increasing breathlessness, absolute exhaustion

Can you help with this Kardia ECG strip please? Kardia say it is sinus rhythm but I’m not so sure
Reported by Kardia as sinus rhythm. I wonder if it is slow atrial flutter or heart block. I have had permanent atrial fibrillation for years after ultimately unsuccessful ablations. I only take an anticoagulant but last night I was batting along at 112 per minute during a tense online chess game so

hi all, I,m feeling a bit confused.
I had HA and 1 stent (LAD) in Oct 2020. At the time my ef was 37% . I was told this was the only blockage but left with some damage to my heart. In march last year I had a heart scan and recieved a letter in May stating my heart was nearly back to normal, great news. Then in December I started to get

Heart attack symptoms in women
Hi everyone, I’m new here. I’ve recently seen my GP for results of an ECG and echocardiogram requested after I’ve been feeling unwell for some time. For background, I have ME, Fibromyalgia and type 2 diabetes with associated high blood pressure and I have been on blood pressure medication and statins

Update on uncle
hi all you lovely people. My uncle is now 12 weeks post double bypass, valve and aneurysm repair. It’s all still a learning curve with his pacemaker and the discovery of the hernia. He’s getting breathless and upset due to these symptoms. He’s had his post op check and no concerns, ecg regularly. The

Going in For Second Ablation
Hi folks! I had my first ablation over four years ago, at Texas Cardiac Arrythmia with Dr. Andrea Natale. I wasn't able to come off my medication after, but the meds then worked to control my afib and numerous PVCs where it didn't pre-ablation. During these four years I had been taking 50 mg of Flecainide

Ectopics and steroid cream
I’m 6 weeks post Cardioversion of Atrial Flutter . I’m getting ectopics most of the day it started to happen the night I took my wife to dinner. Had a zero beer and 1 zero wine but I guess both full of sugar. So far had them for 3 days the doctor gave me ECG to confirm not AF. Only things doing differently

HCM - Symptoms and Treatment
Hello all Only just joined because I want to reach out to someone. Feel like I’m hitting a brick wall. So disclaimers, I have been overweight for most of my life and lifestyle could have been better. However, I was active, never ill and tried to lose some weight often. I have had a diagnosis of HCM

Statin Chest Pain
after an angiogram last September which showed clear the cardiologist instructed me to come off pre-cautionary nitrates and I was told to stay on 40mg Atorvastatin and commence Diltiazem 2 x 60mg per day as well as one Aspirin 75mg. Although not tested cardiologist thinks I have Microvascular angina

Arm ache
I wrote a couple of weeks ago about aching arm. This had been the first sign of the heart attack I had in 2020. You all sent me advice to get it checked . Knowing the problems in NHS I was reluctant to add to the queue but I went yesterday. Luckily they were not overrun at 11 in the morning and I

A Hospital admission and another failed attempt at a CT Angiogram 😥
Hello All, It's me again. I apologise for posting so regularly in the last few weeks. It's been an eventful week 😕 I was admitted to the hospital on Saturday night. I had chest pain, left arm pain and a very high heart rate. I panicked and called an ambulance. I was told it could be a 40 minutes

Exhausted but happy.
I spent seven hours at the lung transplant clinic at Harefield yesterday. I was weighed and measured many times, sometimes with boots (dockers!) on sometimes off, ECG, echocardiogram, chest xray, blood tests, blood pressure test, lung function test, urine test, and finally mrsa test! Everone

In Praise of the NHS
I've been suffering from indigestion for a few weeks, I was diagnosed with angina 10 years ago and had a HA resulting in 2 stents being fitted 19 months ago.......as you can guess the indigestion feeling sent alarm bells ringing, when I had my HA I thought it was indigestion. I phoned our surgery
