Has anyone had the side effect of muscle pain when taking Sinemet?
I asked in a previous post if PD can cause pain. But final realized it was Sinemet causing it.

So I am new to this forum..I am 59 and was diagnosed in 2011 with PD. I am now on disability from a 30+ years as an oncology RN.
I take Sinemet 100/25 2tabs q4 hrs which makes me nauseous and sleepy. I have tried holding a dose if I'm at home then I have difficulty with my balance and have blurred vision. My neurologist is really no help at all spend 5 min with him to hear you really look great come back in 9 months. I believe

MY TRIP TO THE NERO.
My neck has been a real pain. So he says What I need is a couple of shots of Botox in my neck. After getting home my neck is better but my dizziness is now worse than before. What I would like to know is anyone have a story to tell bout what happened to them? Also my sinemet was reduced and told to keep

I'm not sure whether what I experience is what people refer to as freezing.
I have what I call "go slows" - I am fully aware of what is going on around me and I can hear people talking (usually wondering what to do about me) but I can't really communicate clearly and can't move - like wading through mud. These episodes can last for several hours and are often associated with

Problems with medication
Recently, I noticed my PD symptoms were getting much worse. I was becoming forgetful, doing some really weird things, more shaky in general and in pain. I also noticed I was losing my hair by the handfuls, so I went online and checked the side effects of Sinemet. Yes, hair loss was one of them. So were

RLS meds initiate RLS symtoms before suppressing them?
After several years of taking RLS medicines, most recently Rapinerole and now Sinemet (Carbidopa-Levo ER) both in combination with small dosage of Clonazepam. I often find about 20 minutes after taking the medicine the symptom of kicking occurs before the medicine then finally suppresses the kicking.

Is hair loss a possible side effect of Sinemet?
I have been on Sinemet since July and my hair has become very thin and getting thinner. I have a lot more difficulty now with various things, like getting dressed, then I did prior to diagnosis. My doctor isn't much help, not returning calls. Not at all sure what I should do.

Does anyone have any reliable information about ZANDOPA?
I have been on Sinemet for six years - 800 mg currently - and now that the s/e are severely impacting on my life I am keen to find a way of reducing it. In particular, the dyskinesias are getting much worse. I can't be prescribed a dopamine agonist because of ICD previously. I have received a 200g

Has anyone tried Mirtazapine for eating and anxiety problems? Hubby has PD with severe dementia and was taken off of Sinemet and Namenda
because doctor said they were no longer working. His appetite is way down probably because he has a hard time eating and he gets frustrated and agitated all the time. Dr. said this med might help with issues. Wondering about any side affects and if anyone has had any luck with this medication.

Coconut Oil, Lauric acid, and Cholesterol
There had been several posts in the past few months discussing benefits of large doses of coconut oil for relieving portions of PD symptoms. One of the issues that has come up from time to time is the question of the impact of taking a large dose of the saturated fat in coconut oil on one's overall health

Medical Marijuana...Parkinson's
Marijuana oil..Try it you have nothing to lose but you might be like me and experience better sleep less tremor and a reduction in meds, Sinemet. I ingest a rice size morsel before bedtime and a tiny bit when I take a pill,it works for me.
