The very occasional 6 second screeching in my left ear that I'd had for years suddenly switched on and didn't ever turn off at the beginning of this year. Referred ENT, told 18m wait which would take me upto around Oct next year. I also have Pulsatile tinnitus which was initially noticeable right side

Hi,I'm on 20mg mtx and 200mg hydroxy. I've been having some difficulties swallowing tablets the last 6 months or so plus acid reflux/ dyspepsia discomfort at night so saw GP recently. I've had an endoscopy today and have got a telephone call with said GP on Tuesday, although I doubt he'll have any results

Tinnitus
Hi there I just discovered my tinnitus in May obviously it’s new and I don’t really understand nothing about it or why people get it. One thing is when I’m watching tv I don’t remember that I have it but as soon as the tv is off and I’m trying to get to sleep, then my frustration starts as well as fibromyalgia

New To Tinnitus - Advice & Tips please
I'm very new to T. My Tinnitus only recently started and is a hiss…. Sometimes louder than others. I have had all the medical checks with a top ENT surgeon. seeing as it’s nearly Halloween, here’s a horror story
Hello all, I bumped into an old friend in the supermarket that I hadn’t seen for a while and passed pleasantries, told him he was looking well (much better than when I had last seen him 2yrs prior). We were both in a hurry though so went on our separate ways. Today my brother told me that he too had

I’ve had the loading doses which returned me to normal functioning half way through 2nd week. Took bloods after last jab

Liver and gall bladder
Hello ladies, I am currently experiencing a lot of pain on the right side of my torso, front and back. I have tumours ontop and inside of my liver but they are shrinking with weekly chemotherapy. Docs think pain could be pressure on a nerve or gall stones. Apparently gall stones can be caused by chemotherapy

UK - Liver Resection
I'm having my liver resection on Friday 18th August to remove HCC and I'm just falling apart. I'm so scared and nervous. I feel sick, I'm bloated (from stress), I feel I have no desire to eat properly so I'm eating the wrong foods. I'm getting heart burn too. I'm convinced it's all anxiety related to

Severe COPD and cataracts.
Hello Everyone, I had my eyes tested recently and the optician told me I had cataracts. He said, ‘you do know you can’t have the operation?’ Which I didn’t. From what I can find out it’s because I can’t lie ‘supine’ or flat on my back and also because of the increased possibility of coughing. I

Reaction to trabeculectomy
I'm 66 and it was decided that as drops were no longer controlling pressure, I needed to have trabeculectomy in both eyes. Had first op last summer but had a toxic reaction resulting in my eye being closed, severe reaction to light as well as constant irritation. 11 months later eye still not fully open

Eye Drop Prescription Bottles don’t last 4 weeks
Hi, just wonder if anyone else has a similar problem. I take Brinzolamide twice a day in one eye and Travapost at bedtime. The Brinzolamide only ever lasts me 3 weeks although prescription says it should last for 4 weeks. Maybe because I am more concerned about getting a good dose each application. I
