Newbie here with questions
I have just been diagnosed with NASH and need to lose 130 pounds. I had lost 50 pounds on low carb and gained it all back feeling sorry for myself and other bad situations in my life. So hi all. My questions are about low-carb diet. It is the only way I have had success losing weight. Is that okay

weight gain, ADT and diet
I had some thoughts after reading George71's recent post "Apparently diet and exercise matter with PCa after all, especially for those on ADT since ADT causes weight gain (and it isn't muscle)." In my case, following Lupron for 2 years and then Taxotere chemo, I had lost about 20 lbs. After starting

Alternative treatment for lip herpes.
Hi everyone. I want to ask if anybody knows some cure for lip herpes or maybe angular cheilitis, will know tomorrow after consultation with dermo doc, besides creams with cortizon because those act as an afib trigger for me, CDreamer saved me the other time with the cream she proposed for another issue

Is it possible to lower you A1C from 48 to 41 in 3 months?
A friend of mine was diagnosed with elevated (48) A1c back in November 2018. He was asked to repeat the test in 3 monthsā time. He got his 2nd results back a few days ago and his A1c is now 41. Obviously, he is pleased with his efforts, I am just flabbergasted to see this amazing drop, did not think

I started a

for the natural killer cells and have had an endo scratch, intrallipids and steroid treatment. I also made sure that I exercised each day to keep my heart rate up and take metformin for my pcos. I am also on baby aspirin.

Low carb and Keto diets
I am currently reading 'Eat rich Live Long' by Cummins and Gerber MD. It is a fascinating book that borders on being a full blown medical textbook in that it provides the most lucid explanation I have seen about the devastating effects of eating sugar on the human body, what it does to the bodies systems

In Lchf or not!!
I have dillied and dallied.....weed on sticks......ālost weight.....got frightened about fibre Not eaten enough....starvation mode...... More dilly and dally! I love Lchf I also want a piece of toast and fruit now and again; not to mention the odd lentil. All of which obviously would jack carbs up

A picture paints a thousand words?
A 20ml metal ball found in my abdomen, not digestive track. This was found 2 weeks ago in an MRI. They had to stop MRI obviously and they took xrays later. Hmmm I think someone has forgotten something in DIEP flap surgery. Could this have hindered my health? Who knows eh? Sure didn't help it. That's

Palm Oil
Someone raised the subject of palm oil - good or bad? - in the LCHF forum, and I thought there might be some general interest in the subject. Palm oil makes the news occasionally because it's associated with rainforest destruction and "unhealthy fats" (saturated fat). As with most things, these issues

Mission Accomplished!
I know 12lbs wasn't a big target. Never having been on a weight loss diet before I had no idea how it would go. But in just four weeks I managed to lose 12 1/2lbs. I haven't quite lost the couple of inches around my waist - nearly, not quite. But following this plan and receiving the fantastic comments

Could T3 be my last hope of being well, even if blood levels are 'normal'?
I tried a
gluten
free
diet
for several months and felt no better. For 8 years Iāve been on sertraline for depression/PTSD and feel a lot better in that respect. Iāve tried every painkiller going - Iām currently on pregabalin but I don't think it makes any difference to the pain.
