Questions about genetic testing
I’ve got mixed ductal PC. I’m post RALP, post-rad, 6 months into ADT. Setting research about the increased likelihood of metastasis with ductal, and the unreliability of PSA in indicating ductal, I’m anxious to touch all bases before it goes to lungs bones brain or liver. I’m already scheduled for

The Role of New Technologies in Myeloproliferative Neoplasms
I was reviewing some of the items in my bookmarked resources and came across this article from 2019. It was worth a reread. The article is a literature review and has some very interesting references regarding various issues related to MPNs, including information about the three driver mutations.

Sadly, I've joined the PCa club ...
46 years old, married, no kids. Saw my urologist last week. I have a Gleason score of 6 (3+3) (Grade Group 1) with the cancer in one core (out of 12) and 21% of the core. What are my next steps? My instinct is to get surgery immediately but I really want kids but do not have any kids yet. My urologist

Had a good year on Taxol and it knocked my CA15 down to almost normal but its creeping back up and my PET shows new activity. We discussed a ton of options and I am grateful there are so many. We also re-ran my original tumors through some more advanced genetic testing. The bottom line next drug is

Recent visit with my RLS Neurologist
In my most recent visit with him he said he wanted to confirm some thoughts he had about my condition and ordered a blood
test
for a
genetic
screening for Huntington's Chorea, symptoms which has a lot of similarities to RLS.

A New Year and Best Wishes to Everyone
Finally, I got a new psychiatrist who had me take a
genetic
test
, which I swore up-and-down would be a waste of money. He prescribed Pristiq with a low dose of Klonopin to assist with anxiety while the anti-depressant kicked in.

Help with test results - haemochromatosis with iron deficiency?
A few years ago I regularly had blood tests which showed high iron levels so my doc suspected Haemochromatosis. I had the genetic testing which showed I had the gene mutation. I used to get blood drawn to treat it and bring down my iron levels. However, recently I had blood tests which showed low ferritin

Genetic testing results
I was tested by a PD gene program at Columbia Presbyterian and they found I have none of the 7 known mutations. They said that this is the case for 85% of people tested. I'm curious, have you been tested, and how many of you were negative for these mutations?

Genetic test results (or not?)
I've been waiting 6 weeks for the results of genetic tests of my prostate tumour biopsy sample and blood to see if I qualify for the Amplitude clinical trial. They finally came through today but were disappointing in that they have told me very little! (Apart from I'm not eligible for the trial). The

Input Needed.
Hi, Looking for some communal input from this knowledgeable forum. First, some bullet point history to help fine tune the responses: • I was diagnosed with advanced stage, mPC in mid-2020. I have a rare type of PC that does not exhibit elevated PSA. It’s very aggressive and difficult to treat. My PSA
