Covid booster and thyroid blood test
I am due to get my annual thyroid blood test in October. Have just realised that I get my autumn Covid booster the day before. Is it likely to have any effect on the test results?

connected or not?
I have severe asthma which bag at 40 yr old I’m now 62. I have lots of medications tablets and inhalers etc I’m currently awaiting further tests to check copd and possible suitability for biologics. The only thing that really helps well is steroid tablets which I have at big flare ups from time to time

Time to try some extended release?
I realize this comes up for discussion quite frequently, but I’m going to ask for some advice here for my particular situation. I was diagnosed January 14/ 2014 with idiopathic Parkinsons Disease, and purposefully avoided starting the C/L treatment as long as I felt I could. I don’t remember the exact

Hello, Everyone: I have posted here about my 77 year old dad who has been in ICU for severe pneumonia before. He was intubated for 3 weeks and 2 days and now he has had trachy for 1 week (total of 4 weeks of ventilator so far). At the moment, the oxygen is at 35%, PEEP is at 7.0, saturation is at 93

Hi there! I have a sad story to tell about the last 6 months. I had a severe kidney stone infection (and UTI) in the spring. I was slowly doing better on my new thyroid medication (Erfa), but the infection caused bacteremia/urosepsis and I developed severe confusion. I had started taking my thyroid

Covid-19 jab - book now or wait

Pneumonia recovery / Bronchiectasis - what is what? Questions! Thank you
Hello everyone ! Background: I am five weeks post-pneumonia diagnosis. Mild bronchiectasis was diagnosed in both lower lobes (but only partially) one week post-infection. Had pneumonia also 11 months prior - many chest infections in previous years. Questions: Could the mil bronchiectasis be pseudo-bronchiectasis

stopping aspirin temporarily
hi. I’m suffering from really bad sciatica. The orthopaedic surgeon wants to give me a branch block steroid injection (whatever that is) but only if I can come off aspirin (75mg) for a few days. This is because he’s afraid I might bleed into the sciatic nerve, which could be disastrous. I’m seeing my

Wary of covid autumn booster
Hi, You can read from my profile that I am aware that there COULD be a link between the Pfizer jab (Comirnaty) that I had in November 2021 and the onset of PMR soon after. I had had two AstraZenica jabs prior to this earlier in 2021 with no adverse effects whatsoever. While on 6mg prednisolone, in

tetanus booster and Covid vaccine
Hello I had a tetanus booster yesterday and I asked my GP if it was ok to get Covid vaccine next Thursday. He said he didn’t know and to check with primary care. When I saw the nurse she said it’s fine as both are inactivated. Does anyone know about this ? I tried finding out but haven’t managed to

Should I have a Covid booster?
Hi, I’m new to posting on this forum though I regularly read everything posted. I have been very grateful for what I have learned about AFib since it is not easy to find practical information about living with the condition. I am 99.9% certain my AFib was caused by the Pfizer covid vaccine and the electrophysiologist
