Looking for advice
Hi. New to this forum. I had a heart attack and CABG x3 last October. I've since completed a cardiac rehabilitation course. Is the Couch to 5k programme suitable for me? Any advice greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

Advice re referral process for Heart Bypass
Hi, I have just finished all my tests and waiting for the final report, written, from my consultant. All I know is straight after my anagram he told me I needed a heart bypass as LHS all arteries blocked and three stents needed on RHS. Can anyone tell me what the process is likely to be from now? This

Question for the old hands who have had bypass surgery 1year ago or longer
How long was it before you had no chest discomfort at all. Also how long before you felt you were walking at your pre-op optimum?

Online workouts
Hi All, So as we are all now self isolating and staying home as much as possible it means I can't go out on my CABG post op daily walks. Can anyone recommend any good online workouts (YouTube videos, online sites etc) I could do at home to keep my recovery on track please? Thanks Brian

How can I best support my husband who will have bypass surgery in 10 days?
We're new to this. My husband (an independent, strong but gentle man) has just been told he needs bypass surgery. How can I best support him while he's going through this?

Numb Thigh After Heart Bypass
Hi All, Bit odd this but after undergoing a double CABG a month ago I have noticed that my right thigh is partially numb with a reduced ability to feel anything (very similar to the left side of my chest which I was expecting). I didn't have any blood vessels harvested from my legs so it's not due to

Unstable Angina
Hi I'm new here. It's almost 13 weeks since my Quad Bypass surgery and thought have been doing well with rehab up until two days ago when I experienced chest pains, fatigue and shortness of breath. I was taken to A & E and was told they suspect unstable Angina. I've been referred to a Stress Echo but

Punch bag training after heart bypass
Hi All. Anyone on here who does heavy bag training following a heart bypass? If yes would be very interested to hear how you got on and any issues please. Prior to my heart issues and angina I used a heavy bag and boxing training to stay in shape, something I am keen to get back into once I have recovered

End stage heart failure after heart bypass??!!
My grandmother had a triple heart bypass 26 years ago and now her heart is failing. She’s currently in hospital for suspected heart attack, her ecgs and markers in her blood have got worse since she got admitted but doctors haven’t told us why or what’s actually got worse, she has very low blood pressure

Fatty Liver ( What Next ? )
Hi All, I am not without my own dependency issues but thanks to the people here and the information I have curtailed my cravings, on and off but all good at the moment. I am asking for help with a simple explanation, my friend is recovering in a rehab on weeks 3 and on discharge will most likely not

Hi everyone! Sorry for the long post. I just feel like I need to get this off my chest in order for me to feel better, hopefully. For starters, I suffer from health anxiety.
