A fresh start (Thank you all of you that helped me two weeks ago)
Hello everyone, First of all I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who helped me out on here 2 weeks ago when I posted about how down I was with everything. Your messages really helped me. I went to visit my GP for a chat about my weight and lack of weight loss as well as a general

Not yet a definitive diagnosis...hurry up and wait.
I'm 36 years old and live in the American midwest. I'm a nurse, currently working in community health as a medicare/medicaid case manager helping members navigate the labyrinth of their insurance and find doctors when they need them. That said, I should have known better. I had painless rectal bleeding

Sugar dropping every 3 hours. Help please.
Hello everyone. My Name is Petra. I was told 2 years ago I had hypoglycemia. I now was told I might have diabetes. That my hypoglycemia has turned into diabetes. My sugar drops every 3 hours , I had a gastric bypass in 2014, had high blood pressure, but now I'm severe anemic and low blood sugar.

Gallstones and raised liver function bloods
I'm female, aged 62. Had gastric bypass 5 years ago and fleur de lys abdominoplasty 2 years ago to remove excess fat. Last 12 months liver function bloods have been slowly rising. Gallstones, initially small now 23mm, at least 3 plus some smaller ones. Having further ultrasound tomorrow to see if any

Diagnosed Hypo at 16, been putting on weight since, dieting and exercise not halting the weight gain :(
Hiya, sorry if there have been posts like this before but I'm just so fed up and frustrated. I was diagnosed with an under active thyroid at 16 (now 24) and have been prescribed Levothyroxine 50mcg ever since. I go to my 6 monthly blood tests and they always conclude to keep me on the same dose. I was

Hello
Hi my name is Julie. I had weight loss surgery back in 2009 with a telemetry C gastric band and lost a substantial amount of weight (going from a size 26 to 16) and a replacement after it broke in 2010 with a normal band. The trouble is I am back to a size 26, now with a host of other diseases which

Gastric Bleeding. Emergency Surgery
I had a laproscopic Roux-en-Y in 2009 and have dropped from 26 stones to 14 stones. I was put on Oemoprazole to protect my Stomach Lining. Last year my GP reviewed all my Meds and believed Oemoprazole was no longer needed. 3 days ago I was rushed into my nearest NHS Hospital with severe pain in abdomen

Thyroid disorder and fibroids!
I have had an under active thyroid for 25yrs, I take 150mg thyroxine daily. My weight was 20 stone and I went for a gastric bypass as I could not lose weight. I was in theatre and was woken up to find I had a tumour in the womb that would require treatment before I could continue with my bypass surgery

After a year with a hospital dietitian I was finally refered to the Luton and Dunstable obisity research clinic. I had my assessment on the 13th May where I was told I was a perfect candidate

Edema anyone?
Wondering if anyone has experience with edema (swelling, fluid retention) in the legs and belly. I've had quite a bit over the past 10-15 days and am quite discouraged. I've gained around 15-20 pounds. My GI doctor suggested a salt restricted diet and compression stockings (miserable in the southern

Just a thought
What if every member on here. wrote to the daily mail with their story. they are always asking for folk to do this. this might highlight the problems that folk are facing. especially if everyone did it. I am really horrified when I see what a battle most folk have with their doctors and the arrogant
