Not going as planed
Hi everyone just a quick update. I had my chest X-ray and ECG done yesterday. They then told me that my heart cath more than likely won’t be going ahead today. To say I was annoyed would be an understatement. Got the team coming round sometime today to chat to me. I need to come back to have my liver

Hello everyone. I hope you're all keeping safe & well. It's been a while since I posted, but I was wondering if any of you have had a similar experience. Quick overview of my condition; Congenital heart disease & high BP. Aortic stenosis & regurgitation (mild/moderate). Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm 4.5

Emotional Rollercoaster
The ride began on the 6th May !! On putting Richard to bed using the Ross Return I instinctively knew he wasn’t right . I rang our Gp first thing in the morning , a paramedic came out and took urine from his catheter bag . I wasn’t happy about that but didn’t challenge him . Richard was started on Antibiotics

Ectopic Snowball Effect
Hi, I've been reading here for a couple of years but this is my first post. I found the forum when, almost 2 years ago, I suddenly had a lot of ectopic heartbeats. I was in the shower and stressed out and they just suddenly started. I was having stomach pain at the time (stress) and after a couple

Anyone had persistent chesty cough with meds or post stents?
Have had persistent chesty cough for 6 weeks with white mucus. GP prescribed antibiotics - nothing improved except blowing nose less. Now got nasal spray as diagnosed with post nasal drip but still as bad. Had 2 stents fitted Jan2022. On perindopril - taken for years, clopidogrel, aspirin and lanzaprozole

Pneumonia
About a week ago, dad started running a fever. They did some cultures and a sputum test. It came back that he had pneumonia and a UTI. So they started him on some antibiotics. He didn’t have much of a fever the last couple of days but then today he had another fever. It got as high as 101.8. His oxygen

Another Month ........ Another Fracture!🙄
I hope everyone is as well as can be expected? (Vain hope probably, but worth a try)!😉🤞Fingers also crossed for some nice bank holiday sunshine for everyone! (Cloudy here today). I posted in February about how I'd very stupidly fallen down a couple of stairs and suffered a periprosthetic femur fracture

I haven’t run since 5th May, advised to stop by the doc whilst a small heart defect was investigated. I’ve been pretty down in the dumps since then. Walking about 6-7 km a day but it’s not the same and I’ve put on a kilo. Anyway, a chest X-ray has shown a normal heart and partially knackered lungs

Waiting for results… so anxious
Hi, I used to visit here when my dad was diagnosed with lung cancer when he was 53 sadly he passed when he was 56 :,( I now find myself in a very anxious situation, a few weeks ago my husband noticed I was coughing more. He insisted I see a dr, so 10 days ago I had a chest X-ray. I’m still waiting

Platelet count high
Scared about high platelet count. I am 35, I have ulcerative colitis and rheumatoid arthritis. Since last November, I have had regular blood monitoring and a chest x ray. I have been on methotrexate since then and prednisolone for a year (5mg, now weaning off). My doctor always says my bloods are great

Blood tests negative apart from ANA
I’ve posted a few times and appreciate all your helpful responses, so thought I would post one more time! I had follow-up appt after blood tests, but not with the lovely Rheumatologist I first met, instead it was with her registrar who wasn’t very interested in me now that all my tests were negative

Blood tests
I have Hashimotos, B12 Def, lichen sclerosis, GERD, Vit D Def, Diverticulitis and a ANA 1:80 Speckled pattern and had one appointment so far with a rheumatologist. I’m on the emergency list for a full hip replacement, which I’ll hopefully have done in Approx 4 months time. When the Pandemic hit, I

New Here
Kind of feel lost and mentally and emotionally overwhelmed. It started this week, Monday morning, found a hard moveable lump on my collarbone. First I thought it was a reactive node from my second COVID vaccine jab a few days prior, did an ultrasound and biopsy, still awaiting results, but the prelim

Why wait 2 weeks
I had a routine chest X-ray last week . Today I had a letter from my GP asking me to make a telephone appointment in 2 weeks time ... why ? If there’s no change why not say it’s ok ... if there’s a change why wait 2 weeks ..? I have asthma. Bronchiectasis. COPD

Newly diagnosed with exercise induced asthma.
Started C25K last summer and completed it. I was sooo chuffed! I found it hard but I didn’t give up. Winter came, the cold air and wind was hard to contend with and I found it hard going again. I persevered and got to a stage of managing 5K every other day. Spring sprung and that did me in! Pollen!

Appointment with chest/respiritory consultant on Monday.
Hi to all, I have been getting progressively breathless for over two years now. In November last year, I was taken into hospital with cellulitis and an infected leg ulcer and to begin with they thought it might be sepsis. The ulcer on my leg has only just healed after 6 months and I was having a nurse

Mucinous adenocarcinoma
Hello I’ve had lower right lobectomy followed by chemo last year. Today I’m going for a follow up chest X-ray and having just looked at the form it’s says T3 Muc. Adeno. I knew I had NSCLC adenocarcinoma. So I’m assuming the MUC is mucinous, which I wasn’t aware of. Does anyone have/had mucinous
