Any idea what’s next?
So, I’ve been on hydroxychloroquine for approx 13 years, with methotrexate added in 6 months ago as flares started up after a really dormant time. Whilst I’ve not suffered side effects I also don’t think the methotrexate has helped me at all..... I’ve had steroid jabs to deal with flares during this

Pain after laparoscopy
Had laparoscopy and hysteroscopy + polyp removal last week. All fine (tubes ended up being clear, so no removal), but since the op, I've been experiencing some bad pain down the left wall of my vagina, plus bacterial infection symptoms seem to be returning. Starting to think I have a cyst/abscess, that

Biopsy results
I just seen my biopsy from Mayo Clinic. It is 10 months old. It says that two of eight portal tracts show loss of bile ducts and four portal tracts have injured bile ducts. I’m really confused. Does anyone know what this means?

Emergency Total Hysterectomy
Hello again! Trying to see if there is any such procedure as an emergency total hysterectomy? Have YOU indeed had this as an EMERGENCY PROCEEDURE? I am signed onto the NHS waiting list for said oopherectomy since July 2017, it can't come soon enough. I've been to the A&E department twice since July.

Worsening Pain Upper Right Quadrant After Choleycystectomy
Just wondering about some symptoms after my cholecystectomy which I had at the end of October. I had an open surgery (seven hours) due to the gangrene, adhesions and collapsed common bile duct. Over the weeks since I have been gradually getting better but still disturbed by pain in the right upper quadrant

Hello, all those who have experience with atrovastine because of high cholesterol, can this together with Ursofalk and what does it do for the liver?

Feeling worse during loading shots, is this normal?
I'm new here and this is my first question/post and this may be answered elsewhere (though I've been looking) so my apologies if it is a repeat and also for the length. I been having all major symptoms of B12 deficiency, including neurological and vision. My PCP sent me to Opthamologist, who referred

oophorectomy
I'm booked in for my oophorectomy on Thursday and I'm starting to get a bit nervous. The op itself doesnt bother me in the slightest, it's more the life changing impact of early menopause that I'm concerned about. I have been pushing for something to be done about my endo since I was 20 (now 36). I've

Oophorectomy experiences?
Hello, I had a hysterectomy 2 and a half years ago and now I’m booked in for an oophorectomy to remove both ovaries laparoscopically and I just wondered if anyone else had had this done and what your experiences were like. I’m most interested in how long the recovery was and how you got on with starting

B12 deficiency and the role of the gall bladder
Just occurred to me, I had y gall bladder removed several years ago, and various articles including some threads on here mention the 'storage' of B12 in the liver and the gall bladder recovering bile at the end of the digestive tract. So, in the absence of said organ does anyone know if how I manage

Happy New Year
Hi all, I’ve just joined. I’ve tested positive for BRCA2 and will have bilateral salpingo oopherectomy in March in London. Strong cancer history in my family. I’m keen to hear from other ladies about their recovery experiences and life after BSO surgery. I’m almost 49. Thank you.

Grieving is so hard
Hi folks. I am hoping that I can get some advice on coping. I lost my wonderful husband on 29 November 2017 and I am going through hell. Les and I were sitting in his room at the nursing home during the summer. He asked me not to give up on him. I don't know where it came from as I never would. I promised

Pain 3 months after TT
Hi, I had TT and 59 lymph node removal, approx 3 months ago and RAI a month ago. My neck is sore as the numbness is beginning to wear off, around my jaw especially. I have tried every painkiller known to man. If anyone has any suggestions they would be gratefully received.

Elevated ggt levels
Hi everyone, I'm a newbie here - My GP has just told me I have changes in my liver as a result of abnormal GT enzymes in my blood - he says it could be anything from bile duct problems to liver cancer , but I'm really worried. I've having a ultrasound in 4-6 weeks (on the NHS), but in the meantime, does
