CLL in treatment and possible long Covid and managing isolation
My 74 year old husband has CLL and is on treatment consisting of Obinutuzumab infusions (just completed) and Venetoclax. He got Covid for the second time in January 2023, took Paxlovid, and it resolved without too much complication. He then had the "Paxlovid rebound." He recovered from that pretty well

Covid jab during a diverticulitis flare with some PMR stiffness.
I am due to have my Covid booster on 18/5. I am experiencing a diverticulitis flare accompanied by PMR stiffness and pain. Would it be sensible to postpone the vaccination ? haven’t experienced ill effects from my previous vaccines. I have been waiting a few weeks for this jab. Could Pred sick day rules

CLL and Covid booster jab
I am just recovering from my second bout of Covid but have a booster jab scheduled for this Saturday which I am thinking I need to reschedule. Would anyone know the recommended time gap for having a booster after recovering from Covid? Many thanks I have trawled the site but can’t see this has been answered

Pfizer jab PMR
Hi All I’ve just been diagnosed with PMR my crp was 105, my symptoms virtually disappeared after 4 hours of taking 15mg of prednisolone last Saturday and things are nearly back to normal. I was a relatively fit and healthy 56 year old female. 14 months ago I started to get aches and pains on waking

How to get Covid antiviral?
I may have Covid, I’ll know tomorrow when I do another lateral flow test. As it’s the weekend it has been very difficult to get info from 111 and 119. A doctor called me back and said I have to call the surgery or 111 tomorrow if I’m positive and they contact the hospital and the hospital send the antiviral

Eugenol
I just happened to come across some information relating to cirrhosis. It is called eugenol and it comes from cloves. The NIH as recently as 2021 has done studies and as far as I can tell it is helping the liver to heal. I am not a scientist so the big scientific words are beyond me so I am not sure

Anyone tried natural modified ivf for low AMH?
Another thing I’m considering is asking to try a natural modified ivf cycle which I’ve heard is good for older women with low AMH. Having had two rounds of icsi on a normal-high dosage of arms and only getting 2 eggs each time with just one fertilising I’m keen to see if this would be any different -

6th covid jab
Hi all. Back from a fabulous holiday in Scotland, hence not posting for a couple of weeks. I had my 6th covid booster the day after our return. I have had 2 AZ that made me ill, 1 moderna, fine, 2 pfizer fine and the last one I thought was going to be sanofi but when they asked if I was immunosuppressed

Employer asking me to prove I am still in the clinically extremely vulnerable group
Good morning to you lovely people on this beautiful sunny Saturday morning. Has anyone else had their employer ask for a letter from you GP or consultant to prove you are still in the clinically extremely vulnerable group. We received an email from HR this week stating their new policy regarding covid

Covid
Hello lovely people, I hope you’re all feeling the best you can be? In the last 5 months I have only been in busy public places twice and both times contracted Covid. You know, the virus that’s no longer a problem apparently!!! Both times I required hospital treatment. I’m very frustrated and literally

HU10K started in Vancouver but ended up at home?
So where to start? Thankyou to linda9389 , Cmoi and TailChaser for all your hard work putting this together. I've been struggling a bit with my running recently . Covid recovery put paid to any ideas of a half marathon so 10k was just right. I'm not brilliant with the tech so I ran a test

round two!
remember how I was short of breath a few weeks ago, went to the ER, sent home on oxygen and told it was a cold. I spent four days on oxygen, then coughed like crazy for two weeks, staring the muscle under my ribs and throwing out a few ribs as well. then silly me, thinking it’s just a cold and I
