LENS Neurofeedback Low Energy Neurofeedback System update.
I have had agoraphobia for the past 4 1/2 years. What has helped me may not be available in your area. It is called LENS Neurofeedback. LENS stands for Low Energy Neurofeedback System. It is different from traditional Neurofeedback in that it introduces a low current into your brain rather than just

Midazelam
Hi I am having cataract surgery on Sunday and you are given choice of a sedative or not. The nurse said "they usually " use Midazelam -obviously anything offered if i am unsure I will go without it. Does anyone know if Midazelam is RLS safe ? Don't want legs jumping around and the surgical instruments

Hi Friends, First post here, although I've come back to this forum a few times. I'm at a spot where, even though I know it's untrue, I feel like I'm experiencing anxiety like no one has ever experienced it before (we all know the lonely feeling). I've been dealing with this for about a year an a half

How do you find a mental health counselor?
My neurologist has suggested that I start working with a therapist or psychologist who specializes in
functional
neurological
disorder
. Also, she has suggested I find someone who utilizes CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy).

Abilify and restlessness?
Hey all -- appreciate each and every one of you. I was recently prescribed Abilify as an additional anti-depressant to go along with my normal medications (Prozac, Remeron). While it has definitely helped stem away the dark moments or really deep depressive spells, I've noticed a big change in my personality

Intravenous Iron, oxidative stress and vitamin E and selenium
I have been reading about the possibility that some people may experience oxidative stress with intravenous iron therapy. I thought this article was interesting as it states that vitamin E and selenium are powerful antioxidants that can somewhat mitigate this problem. I would not suggest synthetic

Trying to find some meaning in my "Golden Years"
Every day is the same as the last. I sit in a 10 ft. room with my laptop and endlessly scroll out of boredom and ennui. Nothing it seems gives me any pleasure. I used to do oil paintings and have been told I'm very talented, but I don't have any motivation to anymore. I used to play music but I no longer

Hello 👋
Hi, we are all happy to have you in the group and share your insight. There is a very strong genetic component to this. My mom, brother and I all have anxiety and depression. I have been diagnosed with bipolar 2. I've tried ketamine tablets and found it effective but had to stop because it's costly.

Just keeping you up to date
There are 4 new papers in the journal Thyroid. Its's a groupthink seminar from the combined great and good. The titles may depress people somewhat, but these groups have yet to stop taking TSH so seriously. I hope to get full texts from Rudolf who has access.

Omentin-1 Levels in Hypothyroid Patients with Autoimmune Thyroiditis
The number of things related to thyroid function just keeps growing. I have no criticism of the authors - who are simply reporting what they saw. But if Omentin-1 is relevant, then let us see more research! No - I have zero understanding of Omentin-1 - none at all! This is just a search - which found

Deep-rooted anxiety
I've been grappling with what feels like an exaggerated stress response to minor triggers, leading to overwhelming anxiety and panic attacks. It's become apparent that despite my efforts in implementing various coping strategies, I haven't been able to effectively manage this heightened anxiety. At 25

Selegiline run out
I was told recently by my pharmacist they couldn't get any Selegiline and to ask my GP for an alternative. I still have 60 10mg tablets left and will have to inform GP soon. (I'm still waiting on my first appointment with neurologist in my new location, been waiting months as unfortunately I had to

Wow, Vraylar is helping me feel like myself again! No obsessive thinking, great motivation, everything good! Does anyone who has used, had weight gain or were you able to maintain your current weight? Thank you! I don’t want to have to go off this!

What is your experience with cannabis?
I was never much of a smoker in college and took a 36 year break from weed. As a recreational drug, it never really floated my boat. More recently, however, I have found it to be
very
effective in small quantities for anxiety, so much so that some days I will take 4 or 5 hits instead of taking

Passing by the time
I am recently divorced and suffering from severe depression and anxiety. I find little joy in the things I used to like doing, I also find that coming home to an empty house without a partner is very lonely and I’m finding I have all of this free extra time where I am so bored and don’t know what to
