Improved sleep on anti-anxiety medication / antidepressants.
Has anyone gone on anti-anxiety meds or antidepressants (those that don't exacerbate RLS) and found that their sleep quality improved? Following on from a recent post containing Andy Berkowski's video on whether Periodic Limb Movement Disorder actually exists, i've been looking at alternative explanations

Hypothyroidism help
I had a thyroidectomy in 1984, to remove benign growths. The surgeon said about 25% thyroid remained, but he thought I would not need subsequent medication. I was not told to have regular thyroid function tests, and carried on with my busy life. After unrelated throat surgery in 1997, my consultant asked

Thyroid function tests
Hi all, The GP has printed off a form for me to take to the hospital tomorrow to check my TSH levels. I’ve noticed on the form it says, ‘thyroid function tests’. Does this include T3 and T4? I know last time I only had a result for TSH. If so, do I need to fast? My test isn’t until 4pm.

Newbie - Is this Normal? Should I have Treatment?
Good morning! I'm a newbie here and i'm just unsure as to whether I should accept what my GP is telling me and put up with it or go private. A bit of history - I'm 46, female, overall good health historically but diagnosed with Premature Ovarian Deficiency (Early menopause) in my early thirties.

Recent exacerbation of PLMD
Hi everyone. I’ve been on Pregabalin for 10 months after coming off Pramipexole. I’m taking 350mg around 8:30pm but have given up trying to go to bed before 11:30-midnight. Whilst RLS is well controlled, the PLMD isn’t. Most recently I am now getting PLMD as soon as or shortly after I get into bed. Sleep

Two-Week Checkpoint: No Progress
It has been two weeks since my declaration and I haven't lost a pound. I think I have developed an eating disorder because I am very pressured at home (studious family atmosphere LOL). I eat well during the day, every meal is balanced & low-cal, and then after 8 pm, I just can't resist a value pack of

Feeling grumpy and frustrated
I'm trying to be positive and grateful! But I don't really get excited about much these days. I have lingering moments of joy, but most of my days are filled with racing thoughts and killing time basically until I can get back into bed. My motivation is not very great either. I stay in my comfort

Tardive dyskinesia. Been on the causative med quetiapine 400 mg for 20 years.Unable to get off it. Been creative. I am a registered nurse.
I am an inpatient acute mental health nurse actually - for the last 15 years. I also have Bipolar disorder on lithium. Very well controlled. But side effects of quetiapine were becoming impossible to live with. I tried aripiprazole and a reduction in quetiapine to a disastrous effect. I appeared severely

Bupropion and insomnia
I recently started the long-acting (24-hour)form of bupropion and it appears to be causing insomnia. I am wondering if taking the SR (12-hour) formulation just once daily in the morning would solve the insomnia problem while still being effective for depression. Does anyone have any experience taking

Peginterferon and nightmares
Just wondering if anyone has experienced nightmares whilst take peginterferon alpha 2a. I have noticed some sleep disturbance and last week, my 8th injection, I was asked to increase dose to 90. My platelets had dropped since starting on 45 from 864 to 706 but still high. After my 2nd 90 dose I am experiencing

acyclovir and kidney care
I have follicular lymphoma. I’m not interested in taking acyclovir as I was born with only one kidney. I’m wondering if anyone knows of an antiviral that doesn’t harm the renal function that can replace acyclovir? thank you.

Ultralow biomass biome - EMMA result pre-FET
Hi friends, Thanks to everyone who posts in this forum. I've found it so helpful. I've just received my EMMA test result, which has come back as "ULTRALOW BIOMASS BIOME". I previously had 63% lactobacillus and 29% gardnerella. I did the antibiotic followed by two rounds of probiotics. My doctor

Low dose Naltrexone or Suboxone. I'm seeing my doctor this week. Which one is best
After many years of RLS and coping quite well. First the dreaded mirapexin and then tramadol nothing is working at the moment. I was on 0.09 mg mirapexin. Now I'm on 50mg tram. Even if I take 100mgs it's not working so I'm obviously augmenting. Even Kratom isn't helping. I made an appointment with my
