Gluten
Hello everyone, Well, I did an otc gluten test for sensitivity and it was negative, and I think I had a coeliac test in the past before being diagnosed with ME. I’ve been seriously thinking about going gluten free as advised on here to try it. I have elevate tg antibodies which I found out on here

Hi I had been on 50mcg of levothyroxine for about 6 weeks approx because I bought them online since my doctor wouldn't prescribe them at the time, as I have a pending hospital appointment with an endocrinologist at the end of this year and he wanted to wait until I'd see him/her first. I told the doctor

Asking to learn
Sorry for all the questions but you all have been so helpful. If your hypothyroidism is secondary shouldn't your medication be based on your free levels and not your tsh?

TSH higher after stopping Biotin
After decades of telling my doctor that I have all the symptoms of hypothyroidism and being told everything was normal as TSH was between 2.8 and 4 [0.38 - 5.33], I discovered a few weeks back that the Biotin supplement that I have been taking for all of that time could have been interferring with the

hi, I am very fatigued and have very gritty eyes and I am freezing cold very out of breath and have a fast heart standing up. Before I approach my GP what tests do I need to check my thyroid? Will they only check TSH? Will a blue horizon gold test tell me everything I need to know? My last test was

menopause and thyroid health
I’ve tried to Google looking for some information, not sure if I’m just not searching using the correct wording. Does anyone have any research articles that addresses any effect menopause can have on our thyroid function? A thought crossed my mind, so bear with me. Some of us get diagnosed with

Is it menopause ?
My story is complicated and confusing. I am 39 now but I think I am getting into menopause very soon.I have severe hot flushes for nearly a month and half now, they are so severe and frequent that I have to sit motionless in front of the AC or fan all the time, even going to the bathroom would trigger

High FSH & LH but normal oestrogen - aged 37 still having periods
Has any one else had a high FSH and LH blood result? Oestrogen normal. I’m 37 years old, I have very severe stage 4 Endo and adeno with a lot of bowel involvement, multiple surgeries and excisions but disease continues to return within months. Disease causes infertility so I’ve never had children.

Disappointing phone consult & raised TSH on meds
Been waiting 5 months for a phone appt since getting a letter from my Endo asking me for bloods (Aug last year). I’ve been keen to speak to them as I’ve been feeling rubbish for most of last year. Had a TSH of 5.34 which is massively up for me - usually 1.x, even though I’ve been on lio and Levo for

My ‘thyroid journey’ has been an interesting one and now approaching its 4th year. I’m fairly convinced I don’t have autoimmune thyroid disease and relatively confident my adrenals play a big part in my symptoms, however it’s not just adrenals as I’ve tested myself on HC solo and it doesn’t work. Aaanyway

Hashimotos, just starting Levothyroxine
Hi all, I have been feeling exhausted and not myself recently and my GP did a raft of tests to see if there were any obvious causes. I tested positive for Thyroid peroxidase antibodies and my TSH was elevated at 4.7, so they retests and it came back 6.3 They've agreed to start me on Levothyroxine

Thyroid - updated bloods - advice
Good morning, Just had the attached bloods back from Medichecks and wonder if anyone had any advice before I return to GP to discuss. I took the test at 7:30am after fasting overnight and within one hour of waking. I’ve put columns for previous tests in April and September for comparison. TSH

CFS clinic
Hello 👋 At last GP appt I was told that my symptoms couldn't be thyroid related and have been referred to CFS clinic. I'm not yet out of range TSH wise. I haven't tested privately recently as I've just increased all recommended vitamins so will give those chance to work before a new test. Just wondering
