My GP is unsympathetic about my pain, what can I do?
I was x-rayed and later the doctor told me my
fractures
were very nasty and it will take at least 6 months to get better. My cast was removed and I was given an orphopeadic boot to wear. I was told I was to wear it 4 weeks and also given an exercise instruction sheet and told to do these daily.

I have doubts from PA that Zytiga is working
SO is on Lupron , Zytiga and Xgeva. The Zytiga (1000 MG) with Xygeva were both added 4 months after Lupron. (initial PSA was 947 in October 2018) Here are the PSA numbers when Zytiga started: 2/12/19- PSA 21.55 3/19/19- PSA 18.66 5/7/19- PSA 11.63 MO told him to stop Zytiga for one week from 5/7/19

HIP FRACTURE WITH BONE METS
Can anyone tell me what to expect regarding complications with hip replacements? My friend fell and now requires this surgery. Not sure if he fell related to fracture or for hgb of 5. Would like to know expected outcomes...good or bad from those with this experience! Thank you so much!

Do NOT do this at home
Seriously. I cannot stress this enough. If you are working your way through your first C25K plan right now, DO NOT DO what I just did. I’ve been running for a few years now and I took a gamble and everything thing was fine (but see farther down the post) I had a hairdresser’s appointment this afternoon

Another update, not so positive, but thoughts appreciated
My Rhuematologist is concerned about bone density, and has been niggling away at this, even though a Feb 2019 DEXA scan came back as normal, aside some thinning of hip bone, but my FRAXA risk was estimated at 10 yr 11% for spine fracture and 1.2% hip, the bone density specialist aware of my vertebra

Hip stretches - yoga "Pigeon pose"
After my (first) 5K today, and as my run duration increased to 30+ mins over the recent weeks, I found I was getting 'hip ache'. So if you do the following exercise (on both sides). You will hopefully notice some relief. Bend your front knee round and stick your back leg down straight behind you, sit

Casodex
I did not have orchiectomy after consulting with the urologist about it. He suggested going back on Lupron. He started me on casodex until I go back to the oncologist for Lupron. I was 3.7 and after 10 days I went Dow to 2.04. PSA Since I have not had any real reactions to the casodex he suggests

Fractures and strains seem to take longer to heal and more painful with fibromyalgia
Hi!, Four months ago, I had a boating accident. I fractured my tail bone and had a strains and sprains in various places on my lower back. I was not able to move very well and I was in a lot of pain. Now, I can move more, the pain seems to be a bit more manageable, at times, but is still there. Because

What's next?
Hi. I've had Brachytherapy, radiation and Lupron. With Mets to bones we added Xtandi and My PSA dropped to .015 We recently stopped the Xtandi as I wasn't tolerating it well. My PSA climbed a bit to .22 but we've decided to wait 3 months to see what it does. They are thinking Zytiga with Prednisone

Dreaded AA again !
As a result I sustained
fractures
in both femurs, a year apart, both now pinned but definitely stated as caused by AA. I am now coming to the end of a 2 year stint self injecting daily of Teriparatide. I am told it is too expensive to be prescribed on the NHS ( I get it on the NHS !)
