Further Update
Hi Following on from my previous update, I have now had a conversation with my GP regarding my follow up Dexa Scan result and it did not go well. The advice was still to take AA and this was put across very strongly. My GP is very good and I know she has my best interest at heart but I still declined

Single digit decimals, it just got real
I am on Zytiga and lupron for the last 17mos. Previously rad prost, radiation. Gleason 9 3 cores no lymf involvement 4+5. Clear margins. Current day PSA has risen 6 consecutive months. Now 2.06 3 weeks ago 1.51. I recently got a 2nd opinion from my oncologist. A well respected prostate cancer guru.

Scans look great, next step Provenge and holding off on 2nd line hormone therapies
I'm thrilled to share that 4.5 years after my dad's diagnosis and 4 years after completing chemo his scans look better than they did then! He's been on continuous hormone therapy and recently began seeing small increases in PSA (from a low of .07, to .13 three months later and then .23 at the next three

How to land on your feet to avoid injury.....
Hi, I think I read somewhere that you should try to land mid sole on your foot when running, to avoid shin splints. Then I did W2R1 on Monday using the Podcast which is voiced by Laura. Before the first run she gives tips, and said that you should land on your heel as the best way to avoid injury.

Promise.
I have had 4 injections now I would rather not have to take them but I also do not want rebound
fractures
of my vertebrae. My bone density is very bad I'm told but I have never fractured I'm only in my fifties and I fear for my future if I don't treat the Osteoporosis now.

Second opinion at Cleveland Clinic... different treatment plan
So, after my dad's increases in PSA over three month periods (.07, .13, .23) his oncologist suggested we start with Xtandi and sent us to see an oncologist at the Cleveland main campus regarding Provenge. Well, insurance decided that they weren't going to cover Xtandi and said it's Zytiga for you! So

DO I GO WITH CHEMO OR ADT DRUGS?
Recently diagnosed with PC with a PSA of 1800. It has metastasized to my bones with lots of mets in my back. Just finished radiation to the lower spine. Now on Lupron and Casodex, started treatment early August, and my PSA has gone down to 241. Still seems high, but in the right direction. The doc

Thrombophlebitis
So last week I thought I must have banged my leg as I had a red tender area (felt like a bruise coming) but over the week it’s got bigger so decided I better go to the drs. I wondered if I had thrombophlebitis but thought ‘nahhh I’m on warfarin!’ Low and behold I do have thrombophlebitis. This is he

Wet room help please
Hi. I am hoping to get a wet room installed as I cannot get in and out of the bath, although the family need one still and I need a walk - in shower. I have RD in multiple joints, degenerative disc disease and osteoarthritis. I have to have surgery soon and am presently in plaster after a bone fusion

Leaking chemicals
Three years ago I had Kyphoplasty to relate 6 thoracic vertebra
fractures
and now it is suspect that the chemicals are leaking. I saw my Dr for burning and itching on spine with rash and also at nape of neck and he told me to take Benadryl. Anyone have this “side effect”?’
