Osteoporosis caused by Imbruvica
Hi everyone: I was wondering if anyone has been told that taking Imbruvica resulted in osteoporosis. My oncologist has made this connection. I have been taking Imbruvica 420 for two years and now I am beginning Forteo injections. Many thanks. Be well. Ettie

Fenbendazole
I am new, but have been following the posts for a while. I have noticed a lot of questions about whether or not Fenbendazole gets results or not. Most people can't say for sure, because of complications with other treatmentsgoing on at the same time. I have been taking it for 12 weeks now and had a PSA

Angiotensin antihypertensives and COVID-19: No clear added risk nor protection.
Yesterday in a reply I raised the possibility of whether angiotensin-related anti-hypertensive drugs, ACE inhibitors or ARBs would have any protective effect on COVID-19 infectivity, having heard that the virus uses "ACE2" as a receptor. The current NEJM issue has an article summarizing this complex

thought to be from steroids, but they did find hemangiomas [had them in my liver years ago and had to have surgery] in the spine that could be causing that so who knows.......

I'm up against a unique problem and do not know where to go to get an answer. A quick update on me. 65, initial psa 55, Gleason 9 in 16. No mets visible. Radiation summer of 16. Been on Erleada, Zolodex, Xtandi, Casodex, and Zytiga recently. All failed eventually. Doctor said Docetaxal is all that

Zytiga no longer working, moving on to Enzalutamide.
Hi everyone, after four months on Zytiga, my Dad's PSA went back up. Due to the coronavirus the doctor wants to avoid him going to health facilities so he will not be ordering scans and doing Taxotere as was the plan. My Dad will now be starting Enzalutamide. Can anyone offer their experience on this

Stats... devils (or angels) in the details?
I came across an interesting example of why it can be worthwhile to dig into the details that underlie statistic-based conclusions. (And I wasn't really digging that hard, this one fell into my lap.) In considering anti-androgen monotherapy as an initial systemic treatment for my metastatic 3+4=7 PC,

My husband is a TBI survivor!
He fell and hit his head and had 2
fractures
to his skull causing an acute subdural haemotoma and his jaw was broken. He had a craniotomy and the clot removed, then after recovering well for a few days went downhill and subsequently had a craniectomy to give his brain space to swell.

Completed Trial Treatment (NCT02849990) Degarelix (Firmagon) and Apalutamide (Erleada) orally for 12 months.
Hi All, I finished the trial two weeks ago. PSA is still undetectable @ 0.06. MO recommended Lupron shot every three months as standard treatment. Starting Lupron shot this Friday and wondering what l am in for? Can someone please share the effects of Lupron short or Is this the standard treatment

Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) for pneumonia caused by coronavirus.
There's a better way of surviving pneumonia caused by the coronavirus that has not gotten any mention by any health officials or news outlets. It's extracorporeal membrane oxygenation that oxygenates your blood through a vein or artery versus using a ventilator to try and push oxygen in through your

I have had

New kind of CRISPR technology to target RNA, including RNA viruses like coronavirus.
CRISPR-based genetic screens have helped scientists identify genes that are key players in sickle-cell anemia, cancer immunotherapy, lung cancer metastasis, and many other diseases. However, these genetic screens are limited in scope: They can only edit or target DNA. For many regions of the human genome
