Wk7R1 in new trainers
I graduated last year but with all that has happened over the year my fitness dropped and I had to start all over again. I have always been confident that I could do it again so it all started well. Then I realised that my trusty trainers were looking very sorry for themselves. With the shops being shut

I am on my 3rd round of taxotere
I am on the 3rd round of taxotere and I am to the point that there is no relief between the treatments. It has pretty much incapacitated me because of the pain and body aches. The only time I get relief is when I start the the steroids again..... Was advised to just take advil and tylenol alternately

Study finds inflammatory mechanism responsible for bone erosion in rheumatoid arthritis
Only for those with a real love of dense medical language I fear https://medicalxpress.com/news/2021-03-inflammatory-mechanism-responsible-bone-erosion.html (and no, I don't understand it either ! )

Methadone used for PCa bone met pain...
We've been struggling with gone pain. There isn't more that can be done. We've had some scans that show a lot of progression. We are 14 years into Stage iv.. something we are grateful for, THOUGH, this is really tough.. Methadone is being recommended. I am looking for information about how active

What happens if I keep taking Xtandi long after it stops working?
I began taking Xtandi after my 3rd dose of Lu177 in April 2019 because the clinical doc for the day said my previous chemo would have made my Pca sensitive again to Zytiga or Xtandi, and that taking Xtandi while getting Lu177 would boost PsMa expression and thus make Lu177 work better. After my 4th dose

Abiraterone-Firmagon ADT not working fast enough to lower PSA
Your perspectives or experience? I thought my decreasing PSA the past several months on Abiraterone (Zytiga) and Firmagon was moderately encouraging. But MO says I’m not responding well to ADT because 90% of patients like me would have PSA go down much quicker on Abiraterone and Firmagon. So Rather

Zytiga has run it's course. On to Xtandi.
Greetings to all. I have been on Zytiga since September of 2019. It never took the PSA below 3.5 but that was OK with me and my MO since it stopped the rise. I was receiving it through the Johnson & Johnson Foundation and due to the China virus pandemic they advanced me 4 monthly doses and I have

TRANSFORMER: A Randomized Phase II Study Comparing Bipolar Androgen Therapy Versus Enzalutamide in Asymptomatic Men With Castration-Resistan
"CONCLUSION This randomized trial establishes meaningful clinical activity and safety of BAT and supports additional study to determine its optimal clinical integration. BAT can sensitize CRPC to subsequent antiandrogen therapy. Further study is required to confirm whether sequential therapy with BAT

Hip pain and just started back on casodex and trelstar
I have a couple posts going so I apologize. I just came off vacation from adt so I just started casodex and then recently added trelstar again. I noticed I have right hip pain, slight headache and sour stomach. Anyone experience this starting back up? The sour stomach may be from spinach salads. I have

Well, it happened . . .
After 10 years of experiencing various prostate cancer treatments, it sounds like next month I'll probably be moving onto Provenge. I know it prolongs life without lowering your PSA (another topic entirely), but how long does it slow/stop progression? In other words could I plan on it "working" for

Swelling behind my knees, below my eyes, along the front of legs, breasts, neck. What is going on?
I have been on this site now for some months. It is very uplifting to find a support group like this. My journey so far is this. I was diagnosed in December 2016. My PSA then was 116; Gleason Score of 9. My MO placed me immediately on Taxo chemo. I did 6 rounds of it. Then I started taking Lupron

Would love your expert advice
I have read a bit about posts regarding piriformis syndrome, but am unsure as to that is what my issue is. Basically since Wed I have had pretty bad issues with my right buttock, going up to lower back and down my right leg. I am unsure as to what I need, a physio, speak to the doctors, x ray? It

Statins
I've got enough pain to deal with from my
fractures
and I'm worried about causing additional aches and pains with Statins. Having said that I'll probably give them a trial with the three times a week but I'm interested to hear views of others.

No news is Good News
The definition of pain is, 'A highly unpleasant physical sensation caused by illness or injury'. Of course there is also the silent pain of mental or emotional trauma, and throughout all our lives, all of us will have experienced both. Many of us will have woken up this morning experiencing one or both

Easy-to-deliver mRNA treatment shows promise for stopping flu and Covid-19 viruses.
The treatment uses a type of CRISPR to target viral RNA and appears to stop replication of both viruses in the lungs. With a relatively minor genetic change, a new treatment developed by researchers at the Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University appears to stop replication of both flu viruses

Dexa scan
Since my pelvic fracture I had a dexa scan and it has come back with a little worsening of my bones. I have oteopenia in both hips (have had that for years and not changed much) Spine is really good. I am right on the border for osteoporosis in the left hip. (that worsened since last scan) Rheumatologist

Stage 4 Metastatic Prostate Cancer AND NOW also Parkinsonism and PSP
You would think that one progressive, terminal illness would be enough to deal with, right? Well, my husband was just also diagnosed with Parkinsonism (not Parkinson's Disease) and PSP (Progressive Subneural Palsy). We thought his issues were due to either chemo brain or ADT. After seeing a Neurologist

Bone health a d Methotrexate
Has anyone had any change in their bone density after being on Methotrexate for an extended time like 2 plus years? I had a spontaneous fracture of my knee and tibia. The orthopedic surgeon said it is osteoporosis causing this.
