Inhalers.
At the moment l am on
Fostair
200/6 and have Salamol for my reliever. My breathlessness has gotten worse in the last few months and am wondering if it is worth speaking to my consultant about a change.

Fostair any interactions with Levothyroxine
Hi I’ve been using
Fostair
inhaler 100/6 for asthma for a while now. I have had a bad asthma flare for the past few months so been prescribed the higher dose 200/6 which is helping. Just happened to look at the instructions and says to speak to GP if you take levothyroxine for UAT.

Luforbec COPD
I have been on this inhaler for 4 weeks now after being on
Fostair
for nearly 4 years without any problems but like many others was moved to Luforbec, apparently mainly because of cost.

Seretide to Fostair
my asthma nurse has given me
Fostair
to try. Has anyone switched from seretide to
Fostair
and how has it affected you? So far I’m not sure if it’s making me worse. Thanks

Fostair and Ventolin
My GP told me I don't need Ventolin because the
Fostair
can be used in the same way as the Ventolin when needed. Why then so many years I've been taken the Ventolin prescribed and the
Fostair
used only in the morning and evening. Any comments on this would be much appreciated. Thank you so much.

Mycophenolate
It seems to make me incredibly drowsy ie really struggling to stay awake in the daytime which of course messes up my sleep pattern (if I don’t take the daytime dose I’m much better & then sleep well at night) I’m also on Nintedanib, 10mg Pred,

SPIRIVA RESPIMAT inhaler
My consultant has put me on it to use once a day with my
fostair

Enerzair Inhaler
I’ve gone from
Fostair
to Relvar and now to this. Haven’t started it yet but does this suggest I’m now on triple therapy? It’s a bit disconcerting to be on what appears to be a pretty strong inhaler a year into chronic bronchitis. I feel it leaves little room to up the meds.

Steroid Inhalers and Thyroid levels
I have been using
Fostair
200/6 for about 3 weeks which thankfully has improved symptoms. However a recent thyroid blood test gave a very high reading for T4 levels. Do steroid inhalers affect your thyroid levels?

Inhalers and tinnitus
For the past two months I've been taking
Fostair
100/6 and now Q-var 100. I've noticed that both drugs, for me at least, lead to bad tinnitus. I've recently got some Alvesco 160 which I'm looking to start soon in the hopes that it won't have this side effect.

Stronger than steroids
The asthma nurse says that she will ask the consultants permission to move me on to something stronger than
fostair
200, to avoid having to give more pred. Any ideas as to which inhaler she could be referring to.

Wheezing and Tight Chest
I was told back in November 2023 it's asthma that's causing the wheezing and I was given a different inhaler (
fostair
200mg). It's now May and I still have the same symptoms and since January 2024 I've also been taking spiriva and montelukast. Any one out there had a similar experience?

Hello from a newbie
I'm wondering if I should be taking my
fostair
and montelucast all year round to prevent this......I usually just take it when the hay fever symptoms kick in and it combats that. Any insight would be so appreciated.

Fostair MDI v DPI
I was recently switched from Clenil to
Fostair
and it's already made an improvement. I was prescribed the
Fostair
MDI. I was expecting to be given the DPI, just because I don't know anyone on
Fostair
who doesn't have a DPI - I thought that was the norm.

Trial of Montelukast
I am currently on
Fostair
inhaler for adult asthma that has laid dormant for years since childhood. I have suffering terribly for a long time with constant phlegm , having to clear my throat, coughing and affecting my sleep in as much as choking. It’s embarrassing at work and also home life.

Wheezy productive cough
Had my inhaler changed 2 weeks again from Symbicort to
Fostair
Had sooo many antibiotics and steroids in the last 4 months so don't want any more Still don't get why I'm coughing up so much phlegm...recent sputum specimen was clear. Feel tired as not sleeping due to cough Any ideas?☹️
