Could not speak to a GP as they were all busy but sorted out a prescription for
Fostair
by fax. The local Pharmacist was very helpful. He said that he could see why I took extra but I had overdosed with both, and not to do it again! My prescription has just been picked up for me.

Alternatives to Prednisolone?
I take my inhalers as prescribed (
Fostair
, Ventolin), X-ray and CT scan (all clear), and am due to visit the GP this week. I've been told at a recent hospital visit that I need to go back on Prednisolone.

Tight chest but good Blood oxygen levels
(
Fostair
& Montelukast) But I am still puzzled by the fact that I can feel so tight chested and breathless some days, but my blood oxygen level is 99%! How is this possible? I've been like that for over a year. Does anyone else have this?

Sharp pain in chest, no relief from inhalers
By the afternoon it's much better whether or not I take my inhalers (
Fostair
and Bricanyl). I get no relief from them. I also take 10mg prednisone daily and 120mg depomedrol every three months - both for seemingly separate autoimmune conditions.

Unexplained weight lost
As well as the side effects of having the shakes in my hands from my inhaler (
Fostair
nexthaler 200/6 2 puffs twice a day). I have also notice I have been losing weight too. I was weighted 10 days ago at my asthma review and was surprised to be 9st 2. I had put on some weight at Christmas time.

Can Fostair or Spiriva affect your menstral cycle?

First asthma, then acid reflux, now eczema. What next?
Changed inhaler to
Fostair
. Had blood tests and ECG and doc says I am as healthy as a horse. Suggested I have silent acid reflux and prescribed omeprazole which stopped the night time coughing and constant need to clear my throat. Still coughing on and off though it is much improved.

New asthmatic feeling fed up and unsupported
I currently take
fostair
200, spiriva respimat, montelukast and Salbutamol when needed. I also use a spacer. As there is nothing more they can do to manage it in the community they have done an urgent referral to respiratory consultant and my appointment is for July next year!

I have recently been given the dual action inhaler
fostair
to use. I was on clenil but was using my ventolin every day so was put on
fostair
. I find it ok overall but I kind of feel that my breathing is at 90% rather than breathing easily which I can when I use ventolin.
