after first episode I seemed to go from af to tachycardia cardiac but now I still show in kardia as in af. At a lower bpm 100 than usual but still af.

Recent continuous AF Update
UPDATE The upshot of my appointment today is that I have been given
Flecainide
to take for a month. The Bisoprolol has been lowered to 1.25 a day from 3.75 , and 50mg
Flecainide
twice a day. Fingers crossed this will work. If it doesn’t then he will consider an ablation.

I have been advised to try a second cardioversion with the aid of
flecainide
one week before and 2 weeks after- in preference to using amiodorone which I do not like the sound of - would
flecainide
be more user friendly than amiodorone ? any thoughts appreciated thanks

So several people said post what your cardiologist says today at review
Shall I reduce my
Flecainide
down to 100 mg per day? Answer = why its working isn’t it. 2. Why have I got cold feet while on
Flecainide
? Answer = no idea but different drugs affect people differently 3. What do you think about taking magnesium?

Bending down starting arrhythmia - a solution?
I have always had problems when I bend down - before taking
Flecainide
it triggered what I called AF then and since starting
Flecainide
it causes tachycardia and ectopics and general malaise. I have been experimenting on how to bend without the misery and might have a solution.

AF and gallbladder removal.
Flecainide
has halted my bouts of SVT but a new arrhythmia has now developed. HB is a steady 54 during them but I get breathless and a strange feeling in my chest with flip flops. Now I scheduled for a gallbladder removal under GA next Friday.

A 10% burden of ventricular ectopy - please translate!
Anyone any ideas as to how a) this has started b) what’s it mean c) any chance this is connected to being on the
Flecainide
since September. Sometimes the ectopics are there, sometimes not, with no rhyme or reason. As always look forward to peoples input from experience...

Just (another) thought.......
I have since had two ablations and whenever I have had an episode, I rarely wait longer than 10/15 minutes before taking
Flecainide
as a Pip.

Fluoxetine and Flecainide
My GP prescribed Sertraline for my depression but the pharmacist said I should not take it as I am on
Flecainide
as well. Apparently it causes the
Flecainide
glucose levels to increase to toxic levels. What the GP then did was to prescribe Fluoxetine but it is the same thing. Anyone here on both?

Sleep Apnea
An AF attack had started and is calming down now with the help of
Flecainide
. I though the machine was supposed to help my AF. Has anybody else had this problem?

Bristol Visit
Flecainide
(150 mg) didn’t seem to have the usual result of converting to sinus rhythm so had to visit the A and E. Not knowing the city it was very stressful but the staff at hospital were very attentive.

Am I OK to take decongestant powders or tablets?
I have AF, have a pacemaker and take daily Bisoprolol and
Flecainide
tablets. I also suffer a lot from sinus congestion. I tried to buy some Lemsip at my local pharmacy but they said I shouldn't use these if I have AF. Is this correct? If so, what can I use instead?

Banging heart
I take
flecainide
for ectopics, which works really well, been taking it for ages now. This banging does seem to occur particularly if I've eaten or drunk (not to excess!) in the evening, so I'm wondering if it's to do with that, as I have no other symptoms eg feeling dizzy or faint.
