MRI results show DIE behind uterus and and endometrioma.
Still in shock just home from hspt, been referred to MDT they are suggesting that my choices are full hysterectomy or excision surgery and the mirina. I'm 46 so guess menopause is near but hadn't noticed any symptoms but a surgical menopause seems abrupt. Do people go straight on HRT or do you wait and

After RP who goes over Pathology?
We messaged Surgeon through portal and asked how many lymph nodes removed. He states that pathology will tell us that…Does the medical oncologist go over the surgery pathology?. My husband has great physicians, but definitely confused by these mixed messages of whom is willing to give my husband answers

Hi ….from a newly dx’d comrade from the UK
I’m 56 and I’ve recently been dx’d with lobular ER+ breast cancer (2cm), go back to see consultant on Monday for MRI results. I have a lumpectomy & sentinel lymph node removal scheduled for the 28th March. Drs Initial plan was for removal, tamoxifen & chemo….but that may have changed since MRI

Newswire Spring 2023 - my thoughts
I just finally got round to reading this and am left feeling more inspired and positive on the whole. There is still a long way to go and so much to learn about the baffling diseases of PMR and GCA but when I think back to when I was first diagnosed and struggling between 2012 and 2015, there are definite

Recent diagnosis & upcoming hysterectomy - what should I expect?
Hello, this is my first post and I am so thankful to have found this group 😄 In the last 5 months, I have experienced surgical menopause, been diagnosed with endo and adenomyosis; and am due to have a hysterectomy in just under a fortnight's time. I only discovered that I had endometriosis 5 months

Surgical menopause - HRT and cutting patches
HeyI had a oophorectomy in June, struggled to get the right balance of estrogen. Finally put on the 100mg patches which have made a difference in terms of I'm not a complete emotional wreck and can function with life better. But I have gained so much weight, I've gone up nearly two dress sizes since

Hot flashes?
Am having ever more hot flashes and sweating around my neck over last several months. Could it be the steroids? In the distant past, was relying on welbutrin for depression but got hot flashes and changed to escatolepram. In the last few years I started taking a small dose of welbutrin in addition

Very newly diagnosed PBC still undergoing testing
Hello all! I'm a 59 year old female living in the Florida Panhandle Haven't had any serious issues of note, arthritis and joint replacements aside. I began with an overall itch in Sept of 2021 and didn't worry too much until about a week later, when I was sleep deprived and torn up from scratching,

Can you 'demand' Tocilizumab for GCA?
I was diagnosed with PMR in January 23, responded well to steroids (15mg) but quickly developed GCA symptoms (severe headache pain, blurred vision and jaw claudication) when these were reduced to 12.5mg after 3 weeks and 'normal' CRP/ESR tests. I was referred to Ambulatory care but an ultrasound showed

Tocilizumab
Hi. Has anyone had Tocilizumab injections for pmr? I've been looking at recent research which seems to suggest favourable outcomes for pmr sufferers who have problems tapering prednisolone.

FET with prolapse?
Hey ladies I want to do a FET in April and am working on losing weight and getting healthier before then to give myself the best chance. I’m 43. I did an ICSI cycle with a fresh transfer in December which was unsuccessful. I’ve had recurring UTI’s since late Nov and am trying to get on top of them

length of time for biopsy results
Hi, had a partial lung lobectomy and lymph node removal, was told biopsy results would be back in 7-10 days. It’s now been 41 days and I’ve heard nothing. When I contact various people I’m just being told this length of timeframe is not uncommon.. this does not sound right to me… Anyone else had to wait

Update on my previous post trapped nerve and PMR.
After an MRI on my spine I do not have a trapped nerve in my back and my pain is two vertebrae bones crumbling. I have come to the conclusion that the pain in my back and bottom area is mainly my PMR flare, it is so bad I can't move without pain while in bed. Tried increasing my pred dosage from 6mg
