How many estrogen patches should I use?
I had a nice breakthrough today. 😀 I collected all of the available data on the number of estrogen patches that the studies have used, and plotted the measured serum estradiol level versus total milligrams of estrogen used every week. I was pleasantly surprised when all five of the data points

3 weeks until superpath hip replacement
it’s becoming very real now! I need both hips replaced, my left is going first as only 10% mobility left even though my right is more painful. I have chosen Superpath to avoid muscle and tendon cut through all being well. A bit of a trek from Scotland to Leicester where there is an experienced surgeon

Total Knee Replacement
Hi Hope everyone is well. I need a bit of advice.- I've been given a date for my knee replacement..it's in August and will be done in north London at a good NHS hospital. They have a centre for elective surgery and to be honest it's probably the best hospital option available to me. But for anyone

Is it menopause ?
My story is complicated and confusing. I am 39 now but I think I am getting into menopause very soon.I have severe hot flushes for nearly a month and half now, they are so severe and frequent that I have to sit motionless in front of the AC or fan all the time, even going to the bathroom would trigger

Hip replacement.
I have surgery booked for my right hip booked for 1st March. I'm having a dual mobility prosthesis as I have had lumbar surgery and I also have scoliosis and so am at greater risk of dislocation. Has anyone else had this, and did you have spinal or general anaesthetic when you have spinal problems.

Doubling Times and PSA acceleration - Part II
This is a more realistic schematic plot of PSA levels increasing over time at an ever faster rate (acceleration). What could cause this? My theory is that as the tumor grows, the number of androgen receptors (ARs) increases proportionally. That makes sense...more PCa cells inside a tumor...more ARs

HRT and waiting for scans
Earlier this year in March, I saw my GP to ask about HRT, so blood works were done and anomalies found so went for an ultrasound and found to have Fatty liver and hepatic hemangioma. I'm now waiting for a fibroscsn in December and I'm worried and scared. To help myself I've stopped alcohol completely

My Story
I've had RLS since childhood and didn't know that I had the malady. Of recent years, it has gotten worse and I was placed on 1mg Pramipexole which worked almost adequately. After some months/years, I returned to see my Primary Care Doctor and they said it was alright if I took 1/2 tablet more of

Knee relacement
Hi, I have osteoarthritis in my left knee and am now scheduled for a half knee replacement in a couple of weeks time. I was wondering if anyone has had one recently? I am wondering how long it will take to recover and any other useful insights people might have?

Oestradial HRT & the thyroid, Lenzetto blood tests
I just wondered if low oestradial affects the thyroid? I have been on HRT since March and my level is still only 197 pmol/L. I use 3 sprays of Lenzetto. I wondered if it could be affecting my thyroid function? I don’t have menopause symptoms, I had bottom of range testosterone, but this is now in range

Revised Plot of PSA vs Testosterone: Estrogen vs Lupron ADT
Ugh...I made a BIG mistake on the previous posting! I just realized that Dr. Morgentaler had listed the Testosterone level in unusual units (
ng/mL
), not the usual units of (
ng/dL)
. So, my X-axis was off by a factor of 10. Here is the revised plot. The exciting discovery is that the

Why do I feel so rundown on ibrance?
Hello, I am a breast cancer survivor, stage 4, her2- , estrogen and progesterone positive.I was on Ibrance and letrozole for around 2 yrs. I was told the pills usually only last 9 months. Almost Depends on the person. Every time I have my labs done my white count and neutrophils were too low.

Frozen DE treatment cycle different to FET with OE
Hello All, I think I’m missing something obvious but can anyone explain why a frozen DE treatment cycle plans the transfer for day 22-24 while both my FETs have been transferred on day 17 ish? I’m anxious because after a mmc with my last FET, I hope this was a sign of receptivity at 17 day mark and
