The wind has changed and now my face will stay like this.
Due to funny warm weather and rather unseasonable urgent buzzing noises in the garden, I was reminded that I was supposed to have had an appointment with the GP last year regarding the use of an
Epipen
. Since my last violent ten day reaction to Mr Wasp last summer, I had totally forgotten.

Allergies, Intolerances and Autoimmune Diseases
The former have to be properly done to be accurate and reliable - we spent two years carting around an
epipen
for our second son who was allegedly allergic to peanuts - only to be retested a couple of years later (properly) and be told this was in fact rubbish.

epinephrine pens for asthma
Does anyone know if it is possible to give a child adrenaline via
epipen
during a severe asthma attack that could be given if needed before ambulance/A&E. I know how fatal asthma can be in children/babies and just having one of the these would certainly put my mind more at rest.

Omron Micro Air - help needed please!
On tuesday, it got very soggy around the mesh and wouldn't work propperly on 2nd neb, Opted for
epipen
at that point anyway! Today, I barely worked at all, even with a brand new mesh - just a weedy stream that wouldn't even nebulise a gnat!

Use of EpiPen in brittle asthma
I have now been told to use an
EpiPen
whilt waiting for ambulance and having a neb. I have an
EpiPen
for anaphylaxis but have not needed to use it for a long time. I didnt realize they were used for asthma so am suprised by this. Are there any side effects after you have injected it.

fabby neb/medical bag
It fits my Omron MicroAir plus mask, nebs and spare batteries, an
EpiPen
, Prednisolone and more. Plus, it doesnt look too medical. I think it's fab. Got lots of compartments for stuff and also you can get it in a larger size for long trips etc.

Is anyone else allergic to wine?
So far (touch wood it has gone away with piriton and I have not had to reosrt to the
epipen
). I think it may irritate my asthma slightly as the smoking ban seems to have had only a minor effect. Having looked through old threads other people seem to be allergic to the sulphites.

What would you do at work? Carrying meds discretely...
So I found this really cool site that makes inhaler/
epipen
/spacer covers that I could stash some hand sanitizer or soap in too, as they will custom make them for you. But I'm really self concious about it. I wish I could be more discrete.

Spacer/Inhaler/Peakflow case
Would be so useful to have something like all those
epipen
cases. Have an aerochamber which isn't too bad to carry around but could do with something to keep it together with inhaler. Got a piko1 peakflow with it's own little hard case.
