Wa-ah!
I am to continue with my current medication,
enzalutamide
, though at a stronger dose> I am to take morphine to counteract the worst side effect, muscle pain. This will also help with the ache I have in my pelvis, where I had radiation.

Xtandi Enzalutamide
My husband was on Xtandi. It was not effective, so he stopped taking it. However, he has a bottle of the tablets that are still in the sealed box (Exp 8/24). He received them through his insurance so the cost to him was minimal, but it is a very expensive drug if one does not have insurance. We tried

Radium 223 instead of enzalutamide
Apparently they are becoming more active so the
enzalutamide
hasn’t held them off. I wanted to check what people in this forum thought of this as I am concerned about him coming off
enzalutamide
but the doc doesn’t seem to be?

After BCR and PSA Return: An Update on My Treatment Path
At the time, I gathered a few second opinions and most top research hospital doctors just recommended intermittent ADT with an anti-androgen (
Enzalutamide
). I chose the heavier path "triple play" (+SBRT and chemo) for a couple of reasons.

Enzalutamide just keeps giving and giving: Hot heels
The
enzalutamide
I am taking has made the muscles in my right arm rigid, so it is far too uncomfortable to sleep on that side despite taking the opioid Longtec (40 mg at night). Nor can I sleep on my left side.

Current PCa treatment options in the UK do NOT include Triplet Therapy!
They strongly recommend that I start with Prostap +
Enzalutamide
. I referred to various clinical trials and they say they are aware of them but that is the treatment that is currently available and I should check out websites like Macmillan and NHS to confirm this.

When is enzalutamide going generic? DAROLUTAMIDE?
A generic version of XTANDI was approved as
enzalutamide
by APOTEX on April 22nd, 2022. Nubeqa aka Darolutamide will be eligible for patent challenges on July 30, 2023. This date may extended up to six months if a pediatric exclusivity extension is applied to the drug's patents.

Not so sure I should be on Erleada
Erleada has some harsh side effects, appears to me harsher than Darolutamide or
Enzalutamide
. I plan to follow my oncologist orders until I meet at the end of November.

What a long strange road it's been.
They were all scratching their heads over that and also had no idea why it created a liquid filled cyst the size of a mango. ( I saw the video of cutting into it and liquid spilling out all over. ) They added Xtandi (
enzalutamide
) to the ADT regimen, as the lupron shots weren't stopping the cancer

Cabazitaxel Versus Docetaxel
He is 5 years post diagnosis and his PSA has started to rise after 2.5 years of stability on
enzalutamide
and before that 6 rounds of doxetaxel + ADT. His recent scans have showed some enlargement of pelvic lymph nodes which is most likely the reason PSA has been rising since Jan 2022.

Running out of road....
Then when it escaped the lymph nodes, I was place on shots+
enzalutamide
/Xtandi. I hate that drug, so I was almost relieved that PSA started rising again : 1.7 to 3.3 and evidence of small mets in spine. Because I had to work in Australia for 2 months we did nothing (except I added Propanalol.

Advanced PC with a 90 years old
After some readings, I'm not sure if the decision to switch from Bicalutamide to
Enzalutamide
is the right decision. Should he stay with Bicalutamide? Should he take Trelstar shot only (without Bicalutamide or
Enzalutamide
)?

Oral Hygiene and Zometa, Nubeqa, etc.
I was wondering if anyone else on Zometa, Nubeqa,
Enzalutamide
, etc. is taking these types of medicines for oral hygiene or gastrointestinal issues. Are they recommended as prevention? Thanks.
