I feel like I’m dying.
After my first test today (anorecora manometry)…to see how my muscles are preventing me from pushing what’s inside to me - I got home and was hoping that I would not have the urge to go..but I did, when I tried, I got stuck as usual, and after TWO enemas - I’m finished. I feel like I’m dying …the only

Withholding, pain and severe difficulty with oral medication
Hi, not sure if anyone can help, professionals certainly haven't been able to find a way forward yet. We're at the beginning of our journey with my daughter (7) who is autistic with a PDA profile and severe oral sensory issues. Very restricted diet since birth, but no worries about weight/calories or

Lost and beyond devastated
Hi everyone, It is with the greatest sadness I write this update…… My very brave wonderful kind gentle soulmate very sadly lost his life to this awful Liver Disease yesterday morning. My hero battled tirelessly for 13 months, this past 2 weeks have been hell, he slipped into a severe Hepatic Encephalopathy

Why am I afraid to go to the bathroom?
I’ve been dealing with constipation issues for the past year. I can only attribute it to gettin older - never had any problems before that. I won’t go into the details of what I have tried - I’ve taken lots of great hints from videos and forums; a lot of it seems to work - and then it doesn’t.

fed up
I am having a really depressing day today. Nothing really seems to be working! I went to see a private gastroenterologist 10 days ago and he put me on constella because of the nerve pain I was getting at night which does seem to be helping although it is early days. However my constipation is as bad

Barrigel is now preferred over "SpaceOAR" gel?
Consulted by video with the doctor who is supposed to install my SpaceOAR in preparation for my IMRT. His first words were "we don't use SpaceOAR gel anymore. We use Barrigel." He explains it has fewer side effects but the same radiation absorption characteristics. Here is what "UroToday" says:

Terrified
47 years old. I had knee surgery almost 2 weeks ago and after the surgery I took the prescribed narcotics for 4 days. Every time I take these I get constipated. I started taking stool softeners (colace) and after a week nothing. I did a Fleet enema and finally 9 days after surgery I had a BM and it was

Salofalk foam enema - should I feel it?
Thanks in advance if anyone has experience using foam enemas - in particular, Salofalk. I just had colonoscopy and endoscopy 2 days ago after suffering a UC flare up as a result of COVID with intestinal symptoms in November. Was very shocked and disappointed to learn that my ulcerative proctitis has

seborrheic dermatitis
if I have seborrheic dermatitis, does that mean I will get Parkinson’s disease? I’m 29 and have had Seborrheic dermatitis for some years now? I saw some people get it after but not before. Scared at the moment

Enemas
Wow 😯. That’s a title eh?! Straight to your imagination I reckon. DON’T read this post whilst having your dinner. I went to the gym this afternoon. I had very little energy and had a strong sense that my meds hadn’t really hit the spot? I reflected on this and observed that I hadn’t had a bowel movement

Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT) For PD And Much Much More
While many of us are aware of the potential that FMT has shown for PD, Clostridium difficile (C. diff) and IBS that has not responded to standard therapy, I wrote this to highlight the fact that FMT has shown the potential to also help a multitude of other diseases and health issues that are often seen

Divver? IBS? Something more sinister?
Back again. Noticed after a few weeks that I was eating fairly normally - always very careful - and not really going to the bathroom as much as I should have. Small soft BMs, after feeling like a huge BM was coming. Also having either hemmerhoid or fissure, fistula issues, but my opening is very sore

Hi all I had a colonoscopy last week which was fine! Although the consultant said in addition to my IBS I had diverticulitis and despite a massive clear out before the procedure I was still quite blocked in places. I was very relieved there was no cancer there but since the procedure and numerous

Topical peppermint oil for pain management?
Hey, everyone, I'm new here I'm looking for more over the counter options especially low cost. I spend far more than I would like to admit on managing my IBS. I have only heard of Peppermint oil capsules but has anyone tried applying it topically to their abdomen? I'm not sure it would be effective

My Boy
My son was 43, he had scoliosis and lordosis and severe learning difficulties, he also had a wicked sense of humour and loved going out in his wheelchair In 2018 my son went to a & e after vomiting faeces, he was diagnosed with a blockage and given enemas and sent home with a prescription for movicol

Continuous constipation Dr's unwilling to help 😭
Hi all, I'm hoping someone can offer some kind of help. My 4 nearly 5(dec) son has suffered with constipation all his life, he didn't have a first poo until nearly 30hrs after he was born. The main problems he suffers is his stomach doesn't seem to push anything through. So he'll eat anything bloat massively

Constipation
It seems like every 2 weeks there are more facets to this problem. I take Miralax every day, Colace every other day - drink constantly - and now I have huge BM feelings and go to the bathroom and feel like I''ve accomplished something - then I look and it is not at all what it felt like - smallish,
