Recent ER Visit
Hi Friends, i hope everyone is doing well. I had an episode the night before last that landed me in the emergency room. The ER doc basically chalked my heart issues up to stress and anxiety, but I’m not buying it. . A little back info. I have palpitations daily. I’ve come to terms that those are normal

Evening, I was looking at the Kardia reading from last week and noticed a fun blip on it. Does it mean anything or did I just cough, sniff or wiggle while doing it? 🤣🤣🤣 Am just curious, am not looking for an interpretation. Thank you

AliveCor KardiaMobile 6-Lead ECG Monitor
I had a cryptogenic stroke with no co-morbidities discharged to 'wait for the next event'! Has anyone experience off using the above or 1 lead version and finding AF or associated issues undiagnosed in the usual holter/ECG tests and subsequently getting a change of treatment/diagnosis?

Chloresterol drug, clinical trial.
I have been contacted by my GP asking if I would like to participate in a trial of a drug to lower chloresterol. My history is that I had high chloresterol 25 years ago which resulted in blocked arteries and necessitated a heart bypass surgery. I also had a mild heart attack 6 years ago but no reason

Erectile dysfunction?
Hi, Im now 40 years and have always had a very active sexlife and also a very regular use of porn and masterbation, everything was fine until: March 2020 I stopped getting an erection and I think morning wood was gone too. I couldn't get hard enough for intercourse or during porn masterbatation. Got

Abiraterone-Related Hypokalemia
New paper - anecdotal case. [1] Abiraterone-related hypokalemia is presumably rare. However, it's probably a good idea to keep an eye on potassium levels. Bp monitor that also measures pulse below 40 bpm
I now have three devices that measure BP and pulse but they fail with error when below 40bpm. I am known to cardiology and regular checks and may get CRT soon (complex as my EF is 40% so borderline and could make it worse) but need to record readings. I often get bpm of below 30 measured manually and

Mytral valve prolapse & regurgitation and covid
Hi all, I have mytral valve prolapse and regurgitation since birth now at a medium to severe level. I had covid (and 3 jabs) in February which was mild and since then I feel off with my heart. I often feel that it's beating irregular, or pounding. I even have to sit down for a few minutes. I have this

First post here (36M) - my story and questions
About 15 years ago (age 21) at the University, I first started having atrial fib episodes. They would last for several hours and then resolve on their own. The episodes became more and more frequent, until I was having them about once a month. I basically just sat on the couch and waited until they

Scared about being prescribed Clarithomycin for H Pylori
Hi, scared about the situation I am in and would appreciate people's thoughts. I had a stent fitted last December and have had pains in my chest which seem to be stomach related (after a lot of visits to A & E and a gastrocsopy). I had a gastroscopy in February which found I had erosive gastritis.

A sobering experience- and an update to an earlier post
I have had a rather nasty experience this week. It’s linked to an earlier post regarding changing inhalers and becoming so breathless I found it difficult to move from one room to another. Fast forward to Tuesday when I had a second ecg at my doctors. The nurse took my ecg to a doctor (that happened

Feeling so tired and absolutely drained
Good afternoon, l wonder whether anyone would be kind enough please to see if they can help me? I have been feeling very tired and drained for several months and I am not sure if it might also have been aggravated by Covid, which I had in March this year. I have had a series of private blood tests,

Sudden dizzy spells , brain zaps , dropping sensations
Hi, For nearly 3 years I have been having problems with these random (seemingly unprovoked) dizzy spells, dropping sensations and or brain zaps . I mention these three things because sometimes it feels like I have been jolted with electricity, with no warning it just comes out of nowhere . Sometimes

Hi all, New to the forum. I’m sure everyone here would rather not be, but from what I’ve read so far, it’s a great resource of reassurance, understanding and support, from the collective and varied experiences that everyone has had. So this is my story so far. I’m an above average fitness, healthy 54
