Lack of care
In march, the lung specialist decided he would order an
echocardiogram
on that day, but took no notice of my low sats levels and would see me end of june. Despite prompting the specialists secretary to give me an appointment for the echo, I found that he had not referred me at all.

Anyone out there been on Mitoxantrone [Novantrone]??
Med. onc. is recommending the Mitoxantrone, but he must have an
echocardiogram
first because the med can impact one's heart. Oh, joy....not! Husband is pretty discouraged. He's been fighting his cancer for close to 6 years. Had the robotic surgery in 11/11; Gleason 9 with 2 positive lymph nodes.

Recently diagnosed, halfway through treatment
An
echocardiogram
revealed some abnormality, but the angiogram in the theatre showed that my coronaries were actually ok. The conclusion was that the vasculitis had hit the base of my heart and the blood vessel constriction was putting it under massive strain.

Yearly EP visit yesterday
Went to see my EP yesterday, had an
echocardiogram
and an ECG before seeing him. Last year the result of my echo was mild to moderate valve leakage, this year it is classified as mild, he said the senior person did it and I don't have to have another for two years.

Heart worries
GP is now sending me for
echocardiogram
and 24 hour blood pressure monitoring Does anyone think this could be linked in any way? I have rheumatoid arthritis which I take methotrexate for and am also going through the menopause!

Coping with AF
Hi I am new to the site, I found it when researching for support groups on how to cope with AF. I was diagnosed with PAF in April 2016 after several ECG's, holter monitor and echo cardiogram. Initially I was prescribed Bisoprolol (2.5mg once a day) but did experience breakthrough episodes and was then

Heart bypass and valve replacement
An
echocardiogram
revealed a problem with my mitral valve. Further tests now indicate that damage to my mitral valve is not mild to moderate as the echo suggested but moderate to severe with evidence of disease in a blood vessel.

How to get a private appointment with an EP
The problem is that he holds the results of the 7 day monitor and
echocardiogram
. Or would a GP be able to help? I want to get on the NHS waiting list should he/she think an ablation is an option. Not sure what paperwork I will need to accomplish this. Many thanks

Here's a conundrum with a million possible answers...
The cardio did and ECG and
Echocardiogram
. His words: 'There is nothing wrong with your heart'. Nonetheless, I do have to wear a monitor for 24 hours at the end of the week. I have pondered this for a while now. The only thing that strikes me is Levo is T4 and there is T4 in Thyro-Gold.

Well I didn't expect this!
Hi, I'm 48, fit as a fiddle (or so I thought), then started getting palpitations for no apparent reason. Luckily my wife made me go to my GP and he diagnosed AF - the random kind. So, I've had an echo cardiogram, CT angiogram and that was abnormal so having a coronary catheterisation next, just to confirm

Unhelpful Dr's, can you help?
I just received a letter with an appointment for an
echocardiogram
. I rang the hospital to see if this was made off the back of my bloods but again, no one can tell me anything. You guys are always helpful so my question is, is this a routine test?
