The Legacy DuoDopa Pump
I have used the Duopa system for the past 5 years. While my symptom improvement was clear, with time the entire system, even at its FDA approval was antiquated and (in my opinion) it has been a disappointment with its clumsy ergonomics. From the users (patient's) perspective, the present system is

Duopa anyone?
My husband's neurologist has recommended he get a Duopa pump. His C/L meds don't work as well anymore (lots of 'off time') so this is the next option. The pump is similar to a feeding tube and uses a daily cartridge to deliver C/L in gel form directly into his blood stream, thereby avoiding his stomach

High dose B1 therapy using Duopa pump
Does anyone have experience using a Duopa pump to administer Vitamin B1 directly into their small intestine? I have purchased Vitamin B1 HCL in liquid form which is used when a shot is given. From a dosing perspective, I don’t know how a shot of Vitamin B1 translates to a comparable amount taken

Experience with Duodopa.
My doctor feels this is worthwhile. My biggest problem is dealing with Gastroparesis during my off times. Very difficult to schedule my pills and meals. Any thoughts or experience ?

"Off's" and Requip problems
Having a lot of "off's" you can consider DBS or
Duodopa
pump. I have had a "pump" for about 6 weeks, haven't really come to terms with it, still needs adjusting. Only " Parkie" tablet I take is Levocar to natten Eating problems and medicines not working.

Who's getting Duodopa?
My husband was recommended for
Duodopa
(very expensive) by 2 Consultants: after 8month wait and long complex application procedure, the PCT has turned him down. I know there are people getting the treatment in Norfolk - we are in Suffolk. Any helpful info? We will appeal- any tips?
