If you are, while you might be doing your dopamine receptors a lot of good, you might be increasing your symptoms. Two people on Reddit (I know, not reliable) and one man on here may have increased symptoms from creating. Just a word to the wise. The Reddit saga: https://www.reddit.com/r/RestlessLegs

The Stimulation-Happiness Link: Your Experiences?
Do any of you recognize this: I want to explore the issue of lack of stimulation and my low mood. It's shocking how much one really leads to the other.
When I have stimulation, I feel alive, alert, happy, and content.
Even if (or perhaps because) there's pressure. But
when I have nothing engaging

I don’t know if I want to get better
In my heart, I know I really do want to live a better life. I’m miserable and sad and wasting my precious time here. But at the same time, I don’t want to put in the work to get better. I’m pissed that it doesn’t come naturally like it does for others. I also don’t know what makes me feel joy. Nothing

I don’t care which supplement is working.
I feel awesome; the combo could be placebo. Today I took: - 2 scoops of Inulin and a Probiotic first thing in the morning. My whole body felt tingly for 45 minutes. (Tingly may be the wrong word, it wasn’t unpleasant, more like a glow.) - Hour later: 1 Neurogan’s Urolithin A 700mg, 1 Fatty15, 1-1/

Need a good psychiatrist who doesn't mind writing off-label prescriptions.
My doctor won't prescribe "off label" drugs. And I just got a dear john letter basically saying good luck. Get help elsewhere. I'm in California, but willing to do telemedicine. I have seen two psychiatrists that are basically singing the same song. No, off label drugs. They are just giving me the

Links between TSH and RLS. Have I found my cause in sub clinical hypothyroidism due to autoimmune disease Hashimoto syndrome?
As my RLS was under pretty good control I decided to see how I would go if I stopped my Tramadol 50-100mg daily, and tried CBD/THC oil instead. The answer was badly. My symptoms came back to the point I barely slept for 6 nights. And of course I also had withdrawal symptoms to deal with. As most of

Dopamine
I just read that dopamine is made in the adrenals I had not heard this in the past so I am wondering what does this all mean? So maybe there is dopamine being made but the cells can't use it properly? "Dopamine, epinephrine and norepinephrine are the main catecholamines (a label based on having part

PLMD medication
Hello I just joined because i was recently diagnosed with PLMD. The doctors don't really seem very informed about this condition. My ferritin level was fine around 200 so I decided to not supplement that even though the hospital advised me to. I then went onto take Pramipexole (didn't help) for

Gabapentin Hell!
Hi all, thought I would share my recent experience with Gabapentin. I have had RLS since I was 18 and am now 74. Buprenorphine transition from patch to tablets
Hey Everyone With the help of a 20 mg 7 day Buprenorphine patch, I have been free of any dopamine agonist for almost 3 months. But as we all know, the patch does not last 7 days, 5 if you are lucky. Consequently, I change it every 5 days and have had pretty good results. Initially, I would have moderate

TGIF! And thank God for Tramadol?
My answer is yes. Always do your own research. Tramadol is a combination opiate and the properties of an SNRI (antidepressant) and is very successfully used to treat both pain and depression (off-label), with no where near the addiction rate of other opiates. https://go.drugbank.com/drugs/DB00193#
