Augmentation
I have not taken a
dopamine
agonist in several years yet things have been as bad as ever. I have read that the long acting ones have better effect less augmentation, would I be mad to try them again or am I asking for more trouble. Many thanks for replies.

SO OVER THIS!!!!!
I have suffered from RLS for over 25 years...I have been on every
dopamine
drug, suffereing from augmentation each time. I'm currently on 4mg Neupro patch that was described by my neurologist as "life changing"....what a joke.

HPA & Hormones
Research has shown abnormal levels of certain important neurotransmitters (serotonin and
dopamine
). The stress hormone cortisol at low levels could be what makes it hard to deal with stress, either physical exertion, infections or cognitive challenges.

IF YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT.. BEFORE PD, I WAS A CHEESE BURGER.
Dopamine
agonists (pramipexole and ropinirole) do not require any dietetic adjustment. Those who take MAO-B inhibitors (rasagiline or selegiline) should eat with moderation – but not eliminate – foods that contain high concentrations of tyramine.

Postural Instability Gait Disorder PIGD
I also note the Sinemet (Levodopa Cardopa) ...
dopamine
replacement seems to have little or no effect on my minor symptoms. These two facts stated, is this sufficient to put me in the PIGD camp as opposed to the Tremors at Rest camp?

Ablation october (30) 2014 for AVNRT.
Hi, Female 41 years old. Been ablated (succesfully according to the cardiologist who performed the operation) in october (as my title suggests). All was going pretty well until a couple of weeks ago. I suddenly had a bout of AVNRT. Now, in february I had to take Depakine (Valproic acid) for my mood,

Iron, buyer beware
Iron is a
dopamine
agonist, maybe the finest
dopamine
agonist of all times, but it comes with a price. Just wanted all of you to be aware of that inconvenient fact.

, Serotonin, and Norepinephrine will start at the beginning of the initial treatment protocol.

Yet Another Substance That Raises Dopamine

DOPAMINE
. I wouldn't be surprised if ginger, turmeric, and a few other benign herbs raise
dopamine
and that's why people on here are feeling better when they drink a cup or two of it.

Why start treatment with levodopa?
Inevitably, the loss of
dopamine
was not matched by agonist and MAOb, and then levodopa was introduced.

Moringa Oleifera tree, Parkinsons, and other neurological diseases
This CNS disorder may be caused due to oxidative stress, toxin induced free radicals, or drugs that destroys
dopamine
producing neuron in Substantia nigra. Catalepsy is a symptom of extrapyramidal disorders like Parkinson's disease in animals.

For whom the pill tolls
noticed, did we ignore something and as a consequence did our bodies shut down
dopamine
or minimise production because they ran out of options.

LDN treatment for Parkinsons
There is virtually no toxicity with LDN and the idea of cranking up endorphin generation and using the body's natural defense system seems a logical step rather than relying on band-aid approaches of
dopamine
replacement and symptom suppression alone.

Always do your own research. Trust no one, especially me.
Magnesium may actually INHIBIT
dopamine
release. Very bad for RLS. I have to do much much more research. Years ago I did a lot of research on magnesium and the heart and felt confident that it was a miracle drug (given intravenously) for anyone in atrial fib. But RLS???
