Stress and anxiety in Parkinson's - my 2 pennies worth
but 3 things stand out for me : 1) When
dopamine
levels are low the adrenal response is only going to lower it further? 2) When
dopamine
levels are low, are we creating enough adrenal response for fight or flight, and if not is that why we are freezing?

Paul Greengard, Nobel Prize-Winning Neuroscientist, Dies at 93
Greengard’s research described how cells react to
dopamine
, an important chemical messenger in the brain. His work provided the underlying science for many antipsychotic drugs, which modulate the strength of chemical signals in the brain.

Nicotinamide Exacerbates Motor Symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease in Mice
Higher NNMT levels have been proposed to cause an increase in conversion of nicotinamide to N-methyl nicotinamide, structurally related to the toxin MPP+, that selectively destroys
dopamine
neurons. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15639403 In addition, increased NNMT activity leads to lowered mitochondrial

Evidence of the need for patient investigation Part 1 of 2
This is thought to be caused by an overproduction of postsynaptic
dopamine
receptors in compensation for the drug’s blockade of the overactive presynaptic receptors, the explanation posited for the original psychosis.

Question to those who weaned from primapexole
This is a question for those of you who have managed to wean off of a
dopamine
agonist. At what dose did you just stop taking all together? And did you continue to have withdrawal symptoms after that? If so approximately how long did that last?

Haloperidol Withdrawal after Fifty Years
Since then I have experienced the beneficial effects of increased
dopamine
. Unfortunately I am also experiencing withdrawal effects (I assume that's what they are) which are not going away even after being off the drug for six months.

Antidepressants do they contain dopamine?....
I’ve read that antidepressants contain
dopamine
, my question, is there’s such a thing as too much
dopamine
can be bad if you’re already taking meds with it?

Newly diagnosed, dr says loading not needed? And inj gives dopamine hit so will be addictive!? Really?
1st inj is mon and seeimg dr on wed so need to prep. 2) his strange comment re inj and a
dopamine
