Gender Differences in Levodopa Pharmacokinetics in Levodopa-Naïve Patients With Parkinson’s Disease
There was no difference in PD symptoms, monoamine oxidase-B inhibitors (iMAO-B),
dopamine
agonists (DA) use, and comorbidities between genders. The main characteristics of the study population are listed in Table 1. No differences were found in dietary habits (data not shown).

Opicrapone
My (new) neurologist has suggested Opicrapone, which he says prevents spme protein from interferring with the usage of
Dopamine
, and therefore I should be able to decrease my Sinemet dosages. Has anyone else tried this, and if so, what was the outcome?

Dopamine agonists
Why does https://www.rls-uk.org/faqs still say under Treatments for RLS "
Dopamine
agonists are often recommended for people with more frequent symptoms. These include ropinirole, pramipexole and rotigotine."

Abstract from U of Maryland by Costello & Ferguson
Cabergoline (
dopamine
agonist) is employed to decrease prolactin production and its role in the progression of androgen-independent malignancy. We propose a clioquinol/cabergoline treatment regimen that will be efficacious for aborting terminal advanced prostate cancer.

How do you approach managing your ADHD?
My brains different than the non-ADHD brain, might be a bit smaller, deficit on neurotransmitters like
Dopamine
, and other stuff I'm still coming up to speed on. For me, my meds are not the silver bullet, it just addressing my neurotransmitter deficit. 2. Therapy.

Adhd and Restless legs
Have been interested as my daughter has recently been diagnosed with adhd and have read how
dopamine
plays a part in both. I've yet to find anything substantial myself.

Stimulants and non stimulant combo question..
For example, if clonidine lowers the levels of available norepinephrine, will taking a stimulant selectively raise available
dopamine
levels but not norepinephrine, as it normally would in monotherapy?

L-tyrosine: any thoughts?? 💭
I’m awaiting meds (probably January)… in the meantime I’d read that L-Tyrosine can be helpful for
dopamine
release. I ordered some and took one but didn’t notice an effect that day. Just wondered if anyone takes them and what you thought of them?
