The hidden shame of drug-affected behaviors resulting from Dopamine agonists.
Dopamine
agonists such as Requip and Mirapex can cause Obsessive Compulsive and addictive like symptoms. Documented research has acknowledged the facts. The problem is the data is skewed simply because there are so many unreported cases.

Diabetes drug that may slow Parkinson's
It appears that research has shown that it appears to slow down the loss of brain cells that produce
dopamine
. This drug also affects levels of immune cells in the brain, which may protect against inflammation and oxidisation damage, both implicated in Parkinsons.

Foods that help the brain produce Dopamine
She always said that eating broad beans helped the brain to increase
dopamine
levels. Luckily we both liked them. This started me wondering whether any other foods are said to contain such properties?

stopping dopamine agonist to start taking sinamet, how long to give in between?
I have been taking Pramipexole for a week and a half, before that Requip xl, 6mg for a year. I have to completely stop taking Prami for a week before starting Sinamet. This is going to be hard as its technically going "cold turkey". Is there anything I can do to clear Prami from my system faster

If we lower the levels of acetylcholine in our bodies do you think it would help to regulate the dopamine levels?

I am 39 and taking 2 to 4 Madopar tablets a day do you think I will end up with dyskinesia?
The idea is that I take the lower dosage of
dopamine
agonist and top it up with Madopar. I am worried that I will end up with dyskinesia due to my age and how early I am taking Levodopa. On Requip XL I was having sleep problems, eating in the night and sewing a lot.

Could this be it?
He said he wants to improve the effectiveness of the treatment by increasing the survival rate of
dopamine
neuron cells to 70 percent. "The challenge before applying it to a clinical study is to raise the number of
dopamine
neuron cells and to prevent the development of tumours," he said.

So what about our

Remain my Friend (slightly tweeked by me )
No one knows what causes it, but some of the
dopamine
cells in the brain begin to die at an accelerated rate. Everyone slowly loses some
dopamine
cells as the grow older. If the cells suddenly begin to die at a faster rate, Parkinson's disease develops.

Power of positive thought and reinforcement - I can't walk but I can run!!
What running does is take those last few neurotransmitting cells and create
dopamine
and I now have the side effect of too much
dopamine
-- oh what a feeling. I won't run like a man destined for the Boston marathon as I once did but I will run every other day.

MEMORYGet yourself a drink. It may take a while to read this.
People who know about such things say that by the time you are diagnosed 80% of the
dopamine
in your brain has gone. Don't know where it has gone but it has gone.
Dopamine
is the lubricant that allows the receptors in your brain to send the signals to control your muscle movement.

Gene Research Offers Clues to Parkinson's Disease
Using live human neurons in the laboratory, the team found that parkin mutations hinder the actions of
dopamine
and produce more "free radicals," harmful molecules that destroy
dopamine
-laden brain cells, leading to Parkinson's disease.
