LAD Bypassed then Native LAD Stented
Hello just wondering if anyone else has had this procedure. My LAD was bypassed in 2015 and in 2018 was stented through the bypass to increase the blood flow. After some real shortness of breath on exertion and arm pain my Cardiologist carried out an Angiogram to see what was going on. He decided

Low Sodium
I am taking Fluoxetine it makes me feel quite well. The problem is that my sodium levels are too low. I know Fluoxetine can lower my sodium. I really don't want to change my antidepressant. Last time this happened I was put on Cipalatram I was very weepy. I am scared in case this happens again.

Hi, I'm at 3a gfr 51-57 with proteinuria at 700 on average. Lately I've had a lot of fullness in stomach area and short of breath, and bad body aches. Electrolytes are basically good though low on sodium 2-4 pts. sometimes. Magnes. good. Both neph doctor and GP keep saying it's not my kidney disease

Coronary artery restenosis problems
I am 78, male and have multiple health problems including asthma, COPD, diabetes, Barrett’s oesophagus, and osteoporosis. The most life threatening condition, however, is rapid resentosis in coronary artery stents. This first stents were inserted in November 2020, and restenosis started in December

Low Blood Sodium When On BTK Inhibitors
Wondering if anyone has developed low sodium levels while on Acalabrutinib, Ibrutinib, or Zanubrutinib. We are told to drink plenty of water while on these medications. My sodium levels have been dropping over the last few months. I know this can be caused by many things. Just wondering if the 40-

Withholding poo 💩
Hi, My son holds in his poo. He is on 4 movicol (he is 5 yo) but it makes no difference. He keeps holding it in. His stools are not hard or dry, it is mushy. He had an impaction last year that required hospitalisation. I am terrified it will happen again, or that he will slacken/stretch his bowels

Maybe found some clues in bottled water
I think I have worked out why some bottled water upsets my IBS (D) and some doesn't. All mineral water has some natural bicarbonate. The waters that seem okay for me, I noticed have lower bicarb levels, and the ones that can upset me have much higher levels. I also found out that sodium bicarbonate

blood group and being listed
my partner is at the very early stage of transplant assessment and today our transplant co-ordinator has told him that based on his current bloods and his blood group (A) she expects that if he were to be listed for transplant it would be a wait of weeks rather than months. He is actually not hugely

4 Year Old Stool Withholding
Hi there, my daughter is almost 4 and has stool withheld for around 2 years. She’s on laxido and a stimulant laxative. This has consumed our lives and I am absolutely miserable. My daughter is undergoing an autism assessment - speech and language delay being one of her traits amongst a fair few others

Heart rate over 100. Should I lower or up my Levo??
Hi I was wondering if someone had any advice on whether or not I should lower or up my Levo dose? I had upped from 100mg to 112.5 mg beginning of June, but my heart-rate just keeps going over 100bpm when I’m not doing anything. I’m still tired and feel as if I just can’t be bothered. I’ve been sitting

Problem with liquid levothyroxine?
Hi, I was prescribed liquid levo in July last year. I have been much better on it than I ever was on tablets. I have reduced my liothyronine from 60mcg a day to 47.5mcg as I became hyper. I have always had a lot of head aches but they have become more frequent and more severe over the last few months
