GTN Spray or tablets?...
Hi. I'm due to go away for 3 months to a very hot area without Aircon or refrigeration. I not on my GTN spray it has a temperature storage range and I'll not be able to meet that range - it will be too hot. Would I be better off with tablets? Incidentally I've not had to use the spray once since a stent

It’s gone a bit pear shaped
I posted the other day about having a stress echo, I knew it hadn’t gone well after all it lead to an angina attack. I’ve been having mild chest pains ever since my quadruple CABG last June which I thought would improve but it hasn’t. My surgeon called me today to tell me it looks like there is a problem

Radium 223 Xofigo Treatment
I have considerable pain in my hips and tale bone 3 days after first injection of Xofigo. The Radiologists mentioned I could get pain flare a few days after the injection. Is there anyone familiar with Radium 223 side effects.

Hello again. I feel such an idiot. With the cold weather, I have been nebulising with Sodium Chloride 0.9% Nebuliser liquid 2.5ml unit doses. They are in box stating Saline Steri-Neb. Sterile until opened.I had several boxes over from last year. I feel such an idiot. It never occurred to me to check

Angina or not
Please can one some one explain if angina is always chest pain related. Since my Stents in Sept 2022 I have been having pain both arms neck and shoulders. I went into A&E once only after that and they said it was muscoskeletal pain. All the tests showed no HA. Also at what point do I take GTN spray if

good blood test results
I was dreading these last blood tests as I’d been not feeling 100% of late for no particular reason. However: I was over the moon to learn that my bloods were ‘normal’. Kidney function even better: sodium going in the right direction and ferritin serum level significantly improved. just one fly

Joint pain.
Does anyone have a suggestion for joint pain? My husband has had prostate removed 2017, on Xtandi for 15 months, then Chemo, now on his 2nd cycle out of 6 of Radium 223. He has about once a week, severe joint pain in his knee. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Tall Allen, look forward to hearing

Stopping Firmagon if castration resistant
The cocktail of painkillers plus Radium 223 is making me very tired at the moment. This may seem like a daft question but what is the position with continuing or stopping Firmagon when you're castration resistant? Is its purpose to control the spread of testosterone that would otherwise make the cancer

Dietary restrictions and the workplace...
Hi all,I am wondering what your experiences with working and your diet? My department got rewarded with a pizza party. I requested a salad to accommodate low sodium diet. I was told no special treatment. Won't be showing up to that lunch despite being the team lead. Thoughts? Am I being the unreasonable

Substitute Eplerenone for Prednisone with Zytiga?
I am taking Eligard + Zytiga + Prednisone (5mg). I would like to stop the prednisone and substitute eplerenone (Inspra), if that is viable. I found this exchange from earlier this year from Gearhead, with comments from Tango65 and T_A, among others. Has anyone stopped prednisone altogether in

GTN Spray
Hello, I am new here. Hoping everyone is well :) I had a question regarding the GTN spray. I do not use it frequently however, whenever I do, I have noticed that my BPM (heart rate) accelerates quite quickly and is up and down for the first 10 mins or so. Is this a normal response to the spray as I

I had HA and 1 stent (LAD) in Oct 2020. At the time my ef was 37% . I was told this was the only blockage but left with some damage to my heart. In march last year I had a heart scan and recieved a letter in May stating my heart was nearly back to normal, great news. Then in December I started to get

micro vascular angina good news!
Hi All, I hope everyone’s doing well! I was walking on the beach with my wife and suffered a crushing chest pain (worse than the pain I had had with my previous two MI’s) shortness of breath and sweating. I used my GTN spray twice but it had no effect. I was blue lighted to hospital. All test proved
