Hyperparathyroidism diagnosis plz help!
Hi Everyone, I had my kidney transplant 8months ago after being on
dialysis
for almost 6years. My dr. Just told me I have a severe hyperparathyroidism and that’s mainly because I was on
dialysis
for so long. He prescribed Cinacalcet to be taking once a day.

Just need some support
We're lucky and blessed to not have to go to
dialysis
or a transplant center. However, I'm a single mom who manages all of this on her own while also just being a single mom who works 40 hours a week and do everything I have to do on that front.

Cocktail Please: Bipolar/Spinal Cord Injury Now Dialysis
So question is has anyone had to manage other health issues in conjunction with
dialysis
? I imagine people have, it'd just be nice to hear from some of you.

Then in 2019 I guess they told him he was going to have to go on
dialysis
so he went on a 62 day extended water fast and then switched to a carnivore diet with a 23/1 intermittent fasting schedule.

Living with Meningitis effects
I required
dialysis
and was tube fed, first through my nose and then through my stomach. I had to learn to walk again. The effects the meningitis has left me with are truly unbearable. Back in 2020 my ankles and feet started fl hurt and swell.

What to do when dad gets home from hospital
My dad 79 and a veteran, just started kidney
dialysis
in the hospital. I live an hour and I am hoping they can setup rides to
dialysis
when he gets home. I am worried about his new diet plan. Because of my health I can only get there once a week. Any tips are appreciated.

Activity restrictions on peritoneal dialysis?
I just attended my first PD orientation and I am very sad to learn that once the catheter is in place I won't be able to soak in a bathtub or go swimming. The RN didn't seem in favor of doing other strenuous sports like snowboarding or running. Have other been able to stay active and do sports while

The Queens first steps inside the Dialysis Center
I went to
dialysis
education yesterday. It was the very first time I went inside a building I have past a million times knowing it was where people got
dialysis
. Going in I felt a wealth of emotions none greater than sadness. It felt suffocating and surreal to be honest.

Emergency dialysis
I might have to do emergency
dialysis
if I don’t get better tomorrow. I’m wondering what they are going to do and what it’s going to be like, how it feels. Anything I need to know. I’m prettty nervous

I guess I won't know how I will feel until I begin
dialysis
, but for now I'm trying to education myself and stay positive. On another note I will be going to the transplant center for evaluating. My dad wants to see if he can donate to me.

Kidney hasn’t woken up. Is there still hope?
She is back on
dialysis
but it’s not really helping with the sickness. The covid restrictions in place make it tricky to find out much info as her husband is stuggling to make contact with the Drs on a daily basis.

Does anyone has this rare kidney disease (familial hypercalciuria, hypomagnesemia and nephrocalsinosis)?
I’m trying to prevent

and kidney failure with a healthy diet only.

My plan is to work and do
dialysis
. It feels hard to figure out. And the unknowns are hard for a planner. Will I be tired? Will I need to nap afterwards? Will work work with me? Will I be able to focus and do my job? Will I be able to have as normal a life as I want?

I've been fortunate to not have to do

and worried that I may need this before I get a donor & transplant.
