Anybody have experience with water fasting for nicotine detox?
Hi, anybody have experience with water fasting to help with the quit process, maybe shorten or ease symptoms? I am thinking of doing a water fast for maybe 7 days (not a juice fast since the body does not reach ketosis - the breakdown of fat cells). Here is may thinking; I know that nicotine gets stored

Help ! I am not sure if my my symptoms are related to PD, glucose intolerance or something else?
Every once in a while I have anOFF-DAY. My brain will feel foggy, my balance will be worse, I'll feel more lethargic and I just don't feel quite right. For many years I have attributed It to Parkinson disease. However, in the past month I've made a concerted effort to eat more healthy. I have tried 2

Why endocrinologists get it wrong
I've been thinking about the fact that most endocrinologists seem to be expert in diabetes and only secondarily if at all in matters such as thyroid. Thyroid is treated in a simplistic way from a belief that it is indeed a simple matter compared with diabetes. Why do so many of them have no clue as to

Fatty acid synthase Inhibitors.
Recent media interest in the PCa study that showed that aggressive cancer cells are fat factories, is a reminder that fatty acid synthase [FAS / FASN] upregulation is a feature of a number of cancers, & has been the subject of cancer research for over 20 years. If we can reduce FAS levels in PCa cells

Terrified!
I have been diagnosed with NAFLD and I did the worse thing possible and googled it. It has frightened me rigid! I havent had any alcohol since 1984 and I'm only about 8lb overweight. After reading it can cause diabetes, and my chances of other organs being fatty too, I'm really uneasy. I tested my blood

Which diet?
Which diet? I am looking to see if food might be a major factor in my migraines. But there doesn't seem to be an absolute agreement on what the ideal anti-migraine looks like. The two approaches that seem to offer the best hope are firstly the Stanton Protocol which seems similar to paleo style diet
